Providing a terrace, Balcony walk rest house Jabal shams offers accommodations in Sa‘ab Banī Khamīs. Housed in a building dating from 2022, this vacation home provides free private parking. The property is on the top of the Balcony Walk village. You can see the astonishing view from this property, sit int the big yard or head to the back hill of this property to see the canyon from top with surrounding cute goats. It’s the best location! Even you don’t go the the Balcony Walk hiking, you can just stay at the property and enjoy the view. The property is really well equipped and so clean! With this view, big kitchen, yard and rooms, you can find it that it’s really valuable because the other properties in this area are so expensive. The host, Ibrahim, is really nice, we drive a small car with 4people and find it hard to drive up. I call the host and he ask his friend nearby to come to us in 10mins to help us. Then his friend drive our car with total 5 people and successfully drive us up to the top! it’s an amazing and exciting experience. Thanks for Ibrahim and his friend’s help. (we also learned the skill how to drive on the steep and sand road. Haha. )

The property is well equiped house with 2 bedrooms 2 badrooms.Everything was very clean.It is located directly at the start of Balcony walk what is great for the trek.There we no food options at night.We agreed to have dinner and breakfast at neighborhood house and it was great value for money.Food was very delicious and authentic.Hosts were really nice.Really recommend this accomodation.

The air-conditioned country house is composed of 2 separate bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave and a fridge, and... Rooms were clean and the bed was firm. Meals available on request for 5 Riel. Hosts are very friendly and accomodating - we arrived a bit early and they had our room ready. The food was delicious. Parking available in a small courtyard. We did not see signage for the Guest House, but we asked a local and they easily pointed us in the right direction. We arrived at 2pm and had time to complete the Balcony Trail (which was mostly in the shade) before supper. Recommend to hike the Trail in the afternoon and then enjoy the sunset and sunrise on the private patio. Note: photos attached were all taken from the patio - amazing views!!!

Jabal Shems provides authentic accommodations in tents and bungalows to experience a traditional Bedouin camp. Definetely one of the best stays in Oman! The resort was clean and veeery nice. We got a free upgrade since there was not many people hosted there. The rooms are spacious and cozy. Food was good, too!

The host made sure that he was aware of when we would arrive so that he could meet us and ensure that all our questions were answered. We were welcomed with qahwa, fresh fruits, biscuits and dates which was very nice. We picked the place because we wanted to take our dog with us, so it was great that the place was pet friendly!

Generally, Ali is a great host who took great care of us and showed us the best things around. But I think the best part was the farm, where he explained how things work. It was cool on so many levels...
