The suwgra-Al-Jabal Al-Akdar in Şaqrah provides accommodations with a garden and a shared lounge. There's a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. An experience like no other. For adventurous souls who would like to experience the calm of an authentic Omani mountain village with modern amenities. There are rough stone steps to go down from the parking lot then up to the cliff where the village is located, a 10-15 min walk. The rooms are beautifully decorated with local handicrafts. The young men managing it are friendly and efficient. Delicious home-cooked meals. Bedside socket for charging. Chatting with other guests around the bonfire and star gazing made our stay even more special.

The room was spacious and well-equipped. The hotel is quiet, and the staff are very supportive. The breakfast is fantastic, and the staff are very responsive and attentive. Our son (3 years old) enjoyed the facility, he was riding his bike all the time. A lot of greenery surrounds the hotel, and they are working on planting their food (we saw tomato plants, rockets, basil, and thyme). The hotel is at the centre of activities, we managed to cover all recommended things to do in Jabal Akhdar. Most things were within reach (15- 20 minutes drive).

We loved everything as you can see. However the "no view" room was a bit disappointing for the price that we pay. The property is a bit overpriced but then it is understandable considering other hotels prices at Jabal Akhdar. I would support this business a little more because of its local ownership and full involvement of the investors along with the location, rooms and concept.
Alila Jabal Akhdar is one of our favorite hotels globally ! Staying here the second time because of the incredible location, the excellent facilities including the superb restaurants. Comfortable balcony with view to the gorge is gorgeous. Very friendly staff.
The location is amazing and the staff is very welcoming. 5 minutes from the hotel you can start the “4 villages trail” which is a very nice hike on the mountain of Jabal Akhdar

Real, not fake hospitality, enthusiastic, well trained staff, very professional and fast service, professional advice, very good contact with waiters, villa host and reception, stunning mountains and canyon views, fabulous heated swimming pool in villa, no single incident during stay. Total privacy respected by all staff is the hotel highest priority. Very interesting architecture designed to make guests happy. Very good signage of all places, easy to find any. Electric carts for those, who do not want to walk. Hotel is very expensive, but not overpriced, Perfect meals both served to room and in well designed restaurants, very tasty with unique combination of local flavors and ingredients, superb sweets and ice cream, fantastic fruit plates and generous information from staff about each meal. Location in the city is very convenient for those, who want to make small shopping, or use ATM, access within few minutes walk. All in all fantastic, relaxing, comfortable stay. Even unusual guest wishes fulfilled as far as possible. My rating is higher than 5 stars and I can recommend this hotel to everybody, who wants highest quality service and stay. I believe, that this Anantara hotel can be compared with level of Six Senses hotels.
