Originally built in 1882, this charming hotel has been lovingly restored to its former glory and features an elegant restaurant and bar. Each room includes satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. Liked it so much we extended our stay. Started out at the Petit Hotel and moved into the Main Hotel after a few nights. Both were fantastic. Went to the restaurant for breakfast/lunch/dinner and all were great. Really central, we went for a wine tour (bike rentals are half a block away), played a round of golf (5 min drive away).

Late arrival and early departure…so no real personal interaction. Yet it was clear what was what and all went well. We drank local bottle of wine and left note asking to charge us if we did not have this service included with room rate

I highly recommend this place. The hosts were very hospitable friendly and reliable. There was everything we needed and it was spotless, clean tidy and great interior decor. Off-street parking a bonus. Fenced off property with private back yard and outdoor area, perfect for our little dog. Everything provided for breakfast, great value for money. Very comfortable beds. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

Swan House provides accommodations in Martinborough. This property offers access to a balcony and free private parking. Reasonable stroll to the main square of town where there are many restaurants and a grocery store. Wineries are plentiful and close by and the area is flat so taking one of the Swan House loaner bikes is a nice way to explore. There is also a pedi-cab rental in the center of town. Exceptionally clean! Quiet for sleeping. Also very dark. Patio area is large and shared. “Double or Twin Room” (#3) is on the end and thus has lots of windows and only one shared wall. Owner’s welcome was genuine and appreciated. Continental breakfast included: coffee (instant or n espresso), teas (10 different varieties!), yogurt, cereal, toast (Honey, Marmite, Peanut Butter or 3 varieties of fruit jam), fruit cup, milk, and juice. It’s all in the room so you can eat what and when you want. No cooking facilities in the rooms but that was as expected/made clear in the listing. If saving money thru self-catering is your aim you can manage well enough with the provided continental breakfast, picnic lunch, and a take-away dinner.
