This is a lovely period house that has been reolcated up onto the hill, the views are stunning. The meals we had were all great, simple wholesome food but prepeared well and served in a lovely dining room. lovely quiet spot and we enjoyed ending the day with a relaxing sit on the veranda and a good book.

The guesthouse was stunning with no detail missed. Robyn prepared lamb shanks for us for dinner and they were delicious. Unfortunately we think we stayed at the best accommodation early in our trip and nothing else will begin to compare. Thanks Robyn!

Waiotemarama Falls Lodge is a holiday home located in Opononi, 29 mi from Kaitaia. Guests benefit from balcony and a sun terrace. Free private parking is available on site. Absolutely stunning location, awesome views all around thanks to huge windows in every direction plus a 270° wrap-aroung-porch. This "humble abode" is luxuriously spacious and the whole place got very good vibes. The infos prepared by Candace, our hostess included not only things to do and the weather but also tide-times, stars visible during our stay and sunrise / sunset. I would definitely stay there again, but would try to stay longer, which I recommend to everyone. Three days is the minimum... The pantry and fridge were so well stocked that we didn't need to go grocery shopping. Did I mention the washing machine (lots of washing powder provided too) and the dryer?

Just 66 feet from Opononi Beach, Opononi Lighthouse Motel offers a hot tub, BBQ and free WiFi. All accommodations features a living area with a TV. Rooms had everything we needed and very comfortable. Beach is accessible across the road with some spectacular views across the bay. Small grocery store, cafe, bar within walking distance. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again when passing through the area.
