We booked a guided Sossusvlei tour, and we felt incredibly lucky to have such a knowledgeable and service minded guide as Natangwe. He really made our experience mind blowing and fun. We considered doing a self drive, but are glad we decided to go on a guided tour. I went for a sunset horse ride as a total beginner. Thanks to the great horse trainer and TK who arranged the sunset experience (and the fact that I was the only one attending) this became another highlight of the stay. It is about 30 minutes from the gate. This turned out to be no problem at all.
