This is a gem in Damaraland's arid desert. It takes time to get here, but it is worth it. We had the VIP-suite, located separate from the other rooms, with its pool and terrace. The room is extravagant and beautiful and is highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay here. Lovely, friendly staff, superb food and fantastic views. We loved the dining and pool area too. This was definitely up there with one of our best stays in Namibia.

Location is dreamy! Sundowner is absolutely beautiful, stunning! One of the best in Namibia! It is quiet, private, intimate! Food was good, breakfast was excellent, drinks are great and rooms are nice and spacious. We have not tried elephant drive, but if Etosha will be next destination, you will see plenty of them.

You can stay in a luxurious tent located in the bush. We slept very well with a lot of sounds from the nature, but any animals could come into our bedroom. The sunset drink and evening fire were a great experience. The food was very good. The pool is small but very clean and the pool area is nice.

We were very warmly welcomed and the location is absolutely unique. The food was also excellent. Our absolute highlight was the River Drive. The nature and also the elephants were really breathtaking. What we really liked was how respectful the handling of the elephants was. It was left enough distance to the elephants and also respected when the signal came that we should "move on". Nevertheless, we were able to spend a lot of time with the elephants. You just noticed that they are free and wild elephants, which made everything even more unique. By far the best drive of the entire vacation.

Located 25 km from Khorixas, Gondwana Damara Mopane Lodge offers accommodation set in a semi-circle of interlinking pathways with a swimming pool at the centre. Cottages are separate in their own little yards. Large room. The yards grow vegetables which the lodge uses for the meals. Staff are very good. Delicious buffet with game meat and a variety of vegetables. Maria, the server, was very good. Breakfast buffet is also good with a nice variety including hot food.

Staff and management very welcoming, good prepared dinner as we didn't want to self cater. Nice rugged surroundings but accessible for 2wd vehicle.
