Located in Hegykő, 4.5 miles from Esterhazy Castle, Hotel HegiQ - Adults Only Hotel provides accommodations with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. It's not often you get to stay in a one-month old hotel, but this one is brand new (late September-early October 2022). It is hidden away on a side street in a small forgettable village, which keeps it quiet at night. It's all new and absolutely spotless, and includes a nice spa and wonderful sauna and two hot tubs on the ground floor, and access across a lawn to a 7-pool swimming and hot spring water resort (which is not new and is shared with an adjacent camp ground). Rates include dinner, and the wine list is quite reasonable and includes some wines made in the same and in the next village. Both dinner and buffet breakfast were good if not quite gourmet. Staff was very pleasant and helpful, all bilingual in Hungarian and German. (Don't know about English because I speak both Hungarian and German, never tried English).

The Sopron Monastery Hotel is located in garden part the city, surrounded by forests and on top of a hill, offering an excellent panorama. The property is 2.2 mi from the center of Sopron. Second time here. We really enjoy the tranquility of the place. Summer time gives more opportunity to use the park/ garden. The half-board service is also superb.

Housed in a restored, 300 year-old Baroque-style building, Hotel Wollner is located in a pedestrian area of Sopron's Old Town and offers free WiFi. We loved the cozy atmosphere in the beautiful old building. The furnishings were beautiful. The location is perfect . The owners were very friendly and helpful with directions for what to see around the city.
