The best part of our breakfast was being greeted and served by Marina. She understands the assignment and aces it every time. Marina is a rare gem! The food itself was very delicious. We shall most positively be visiting and staying with The Crown and Anchor again.

Breakfast was outstanding and dinner as well. The location is perfect for trips in the area and all around.

It was beautiful, the pub is great, the rooms are well furnished, you get a great night’s sleep and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.

We loved everything, lovely staff members, beautiful and super cozy room. We had dinner and the food was delicious. Fabulous place.

Situated in Amesbury, in scenic Wiltshire, The George Hotel, Amesbury, Wiltshire is a 5-minute drive from Stonehenge. Old fashioned decor, very warm and atmospheric, the restaurant especially is great for food and drinks with friends. The staff is utterly amazing, attentive, professional, solicitous and able to do everything in their power to make you feel welcome and cared for. I had to check out super early and required a taxi at the crack of dawn(forgot to book ahead, too), and the amazing lady at the reception called every taxi driver in the area to find me a ride to the train station. Highly recommend and will be back time and again. I also found the beds supremely comfortable- the pillows were fluffed up like clouds and sleeping was like nestling up in a dreamscape of perfect tranquility. Thanks for everything!

In the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, this traditional country inn offers stylish and attractive accommodation; Michelin-recommended food; and peaceful, tranquil surroundings for a relaxing or... We were a family of 4, my husband, myself and my in-laws. The rooms are very beautiful, clean and have a unique character. The restaurant and bar are truly beautiful and convenient. Staff is exceptional and very helpful. We asked the owner if we could have breakfast at 8am instead of 9am, she immidiatley accepted and served us home-made breakfast on saturday and sunday. The food both breakfast and dinner were satisfying and good portions. I would recommend this inn because it feels like home.
