A contemporary boutique guest house set in a Georgian townhouse, Number 38 Clifton offers stylish rooms with views of the Clifton Downs or Bristol city centre. the whole atmosphere of the townhouse, the location, the attention to detail in every single room made this the perfect stay. We only stopped over for 1 night and wished we could have stayed longer. A lovely finish was the outstanding breakfast.

I was warmly greeted and shown to my room. The room is absolutely lovely. They provided many extras. I had Prosecco and an IPA waiting for me when I arrived. The bed is fabulous. The shower was good water pressure and very warm. The linens were very plush and towels huge. There was tea, coffee, hot chocolate provided. I ate dinner there and had a wonderful dining experience. Andrew fixed me a bag of food items for the early departure since I would miss breakfast. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. I would caution that if you’re a very light sleeper, there are some sounds that might wake you. The cars leaving might be the loudest but they are gone, but I was there when a very large dinner party was happening. I will definitely go there again. It was only a 10 minute drive (easy drive for an American) back to the car rental return. Then a bus to the airport.

Staff were helpful and pleasant....and breakfast was good. We appreciated the 2 large bottles of water in the room and that the restaurant was open for lunch at 3pm. This is the hotel we will choose when we return to Bristol.

Modern och bekväm lägenhet centralt i Bristol. Stor bekväm dubbelsäng, fräscht badrum, kök och vardagsrum med soffa och TV. Vi bodde fyra våningar upp och hade utsikt mot innergård och det var tyst och vilsamt. Vi kunde också lämna väskor i receptionen dagen vi checkade ut så att vi fick lite extra tid att turista på.

The thing that stood out the most was the staff…so friendly, down to earth and most helpful. In particular Ella, Eli and Natalie were superb at their job and full of great personality. The hotel itself is very modern with fantastic leisure centre/gym. The beds were also very comfortable 🙂
