This was a last minute booking due to travel disruption and we were highly impressed with the Brantwood Hotel, the pictures don’t do it justice. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the Hotel has many quirky designs in it architecture. The food, evening meal and breakfast was delicious. From a rating point of view it’s a 10/10.

The traditional The George Hotel, stands in the very centre of the bustling market town of Penrith on the edge of the Lake District and the North Pennines. The breakfast was delicious and the location was excellent.

Friendly helpful staff, beautiful, comfortable room and excellent food. We were driving south from Scotland to Liverpool to join a cruise ship, unfortunately due to bad weather conditions our itinerary was changed and we elected not to sail. I rang the hotel on our way back north and were delighted that they were able to give us the same room. Would definitely stay at Roundthorn again.
