Lovely property, we travelled with my elderly father and he had the accessibility room and slept really well in the main building and had no complaints. The staff were excellent, room lovely and clean, breakfast was a full English and eggs Benedict, both cooked perfectly.

Just outside of Penrith, the Brantwood Hotel is less than 3 miles from Ullswater. Just one mile from the junction 40 of M6 it offers bedrooms with attached bathroom and TVs. Both the hotel and the staff where soo warm and inviting. Like a home from home

Amazing food on the night we arrived and the best breakfast and service for the morning we left! Would definitely book again!

Awarded a 3-star rating by VisitEngland, this independently-run hotel in the beautiful village of Edenhall is only 3 miles from Penrith and junction 40 of the M6. Superb, friendly unpretentious country hotel in beautiful location. So good to be able to open the windows and listen to the birds singing. Great place to take the dog - very relaxed and wonderful walks on the doorstep. Staff hugely knowledgeable about the area and nothing is too much trouble!

The Roundthorn Country House and luxury self-catering Mews Apartments are set in landscaped gardens, with panoramic views of the Eden Valley and Lakeland Fells. First class hotel. Friendly helpful staff, beautiful, comfortable room and excellent food. We were driving south from Scotland to Liverpool to join a cruise ship, unfortunately due to bad weather conditions our itinerary was changed and we elected not to sail. I rang the hotel on our way back north and were delighted that they were able to give us the same room. Would definitely stay at Roundthorn again.

The Station Hotel Penrith features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Penrith. The owner and all of the staff were terrific. They helped with my luggage, check-in, and gave suggestions about local sites. The owner checked me in, then later cooked my dinner and in the morning made my breakfast! These two last items are not easy with my dietary constraints but he went out of his way to make sure I had a perfect stay.
