On acres of wooded parkland, this fascinating 13th-century fortress is on the banks of the River Esk. Beautiful castle, the room and bathroom were amazing, particularly the bed! It was clean and confortable. The spot with forest around is pretty. The spa was very nice too. Good breakfast, and the 5 course dinner, which I had booked with the room, so delicious! The staff is skillful and the service very good. I really felt like a princess during my stay, it was exactly what I was looking for!

The location is serene and beautiful while also close to the city. We loved waking up and opening our door to see the horses and sheep! Michael gave us a tour around and we met many of the horses!
