Dalmally
We love this place, this is our second visit. Situated on the edge of Loch Awe, it is beautifully peaceful. The views are magnificent. We had a loch view need, I say more. The hotel is an old 18th century listed building, so do not expect a 5 star modern hotel ( wouldn't fit in this area anyway), HOWEVER, the food is definitely 5 star! The chef is amazing, so eat in their restaurant. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean and the staff are great.
Kilchrenan
Enchanted. Quirky. Friendly. Tasty. Interesting. Full of character. The 2 housekeepers were so helpful and interesting. The grounds are multi faceted and established. On the loch awe. A shame we only had 1 night there. The bed was so comfy. The bedrooms individually decorated with old furniture. Super cosy. The venison was delicious! An old school hotel with old school values. Lovely!
Loch Awe views from the bedroom window, lovely rooms and a massive bathroom. Super bar and restaurant. Log fires lit outside in the evening after dinner to enjoy a drink and admire the loch. Dog-friendly bedrooms rooms and bar - lots ov towels, dog snacks and balls. (dogs were not allowed in the restaurant - but you could have your meal in the orangery). Lovely hotel
