The owner met us and welcomed us on arrival and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was excellent and we enjoyed our evening meal very much too. Regular returning guests. The Griffin is not a "plastic" style hotel. It is a wonderful old probably 17c. Inn & Ale House with rooms and entertainment at weekends, which may not be to everyone's liking. The addition of ear plugs (if req.) is a caring touch. Well stocked bar and outside tables in this bustling N. Cambridgeshire town centre.
Location of hotel was good, plenty to see and a good central base to be able to sight see around Cambridgeshire. Accommodation was very clean with easy accessibility and staff very pleasant and helpful, we would certainly revisit. We believe very good value for the money and everything went like clockwork.

Wonderful room size and recently upgraded
It is a truly beautiful place and the interiors and gardens are spectacular. You feel you are having a wonderful treat.
In some ways the property was great and even exceeded our expectations. The setting was lovely, and the property turned out to be a cosy, A-frame lodge. There were wonderful walks everywhere around, and lots of excellent extras inside, like a PS3 for the kids and interesting books on the shelf, not to mention toiletries, slippers and cleaning materials. Also, our dog was warmly welcomed and thrilled with the walk potential.
