Found in Scotland’s Cairngorms National Park, Scandinavian Village in Aviemore offers high-quality accommodations beside these rugged mountains. Quick response from the host. The place is neat, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. We had everything we needed. The washers and tumble dryers at the guest laundry area is a plus. The apartment size is able to accommodate all four of us. The place is walking distance to the town center with many eateries and also a supermarket, Tesco. The apartment has two bathrooms and toilets which cuts down queuing time for our group. There are also a lot of car parking lots.

Used to be an old hunting lodge, and Steve and Tracy have transformed it into a fabulous Inn. Beautiful rooms, very clean, super comfortable-best “sleep” of our entire trip, great breakfast! They were professional, but also treated us like old friends while we hung out with them in their very own bar that one evening. Reminded us of what B and B’s USED to be like back in the day.

Staff were excellent (Douglas on phone) Lee and Susie on reception-friendly, efficient and welcoming. Bed (Room 21) was really comfortable, slept great, lot's of seating areas, big kitchen (complementary milk, as well as tea and coffee), relaxed ambience in an ideal location for the Cairngorms. Very inclusive Hostel in terms of age range with interesting fellow travellers. Easy on-site parking. Will be happy to return-great value, especially for Aviemore.

View of Cairngorms from glassed-in balcony. Quiet. Comfortable beds (two singles / single duvets, arranged as a double). Effective heating via room thermostats. Good quality (Elemis) toiletries, excellent powerful shower, though hot water ran out during second person's shower. Enough towels in bathroom & kitchen. Some recycling outside the unit. Good central base for day trips. Efficient & polite check-in and check-out.
The hotel was a lovely old property with original features. It was peaceful, comfortable and in beautiful surroundings. The breakfast options were really varied with each option offering wholesome, good quality and well prepared food. Nearby the Cairn Hotel was perfect for evening meals. All in all a perfect base to explore the cairngorms.
This is one of those grand old hotels with plaid carpeting, stag decor, and photos of birds. They bill themselves the wildlife hotel. They can recommend birding spots. You right next to the Cairngorms and about 30 miles from Culloden. Lovely dinner followed by several drams of the local whiskies in the cozy bar.
Grantown on Spey
Everything. Welcoming hosts, spacious rooms with lovely furnishings. A beautiful house close to central Grantown, a short drive away from many things to see in the Cairngorms and Speyside. Apartment had all the necessary essentials plus quite a few extra features which made it a pleasure to stay there.
We spend one night in Columba house and were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were spacious with everything you need. The value for money was excellent and the hotel is situated very close to Cairngorms ski centre which was perfect for us. Basic breakfast with cereals and pastries was a very nice touch.
Grantown on Spey
Very friendly hosts, and a warm welcome. Very clean and comfortable apartment. Everything you needed to cook, relax, enjoy, and have a great stay. The Cairngorms are 5 minutes walk away and stunning. Local shops are great, bakery, butchers, Co-Op, etc all very close and easy to walk to.
Super Hotel. Staff were first class and worked extremely hard to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Great location for exploring the Cairngorms. Brilliant room with space to relax during our 4 night stay. Breakfast and restaurant food were all excellent. Many thanks to the McKinnes team.
We have used this hotel before, as it is a handy location for our planned walks in the Cairngorms. It has all the facilities we need and there is a handy bus service into town and the ski area. We like canoeing and there are several lochs nearby that we use on quiet days.
Wonderful classic building with easy access to northern Cairngorms if travelling by car. Friendly and helpful staff across all areas of the hotel. Excellent food including breakfast. Very clean and comfortable rooms. We highly recommend Nethybridge Hotel.

The apartment is located in a magnificent home in a delightful location. Everything we imagined a Cairngorms village to look like and we were lucky to be there in the snow. The apartment itself was warm and very clean, and the beds were comfortable.
Very happy with the room and facilities. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly too. The hotel is well placed for bike hire, walking trips, and sightseeing around the Cairngorms National Park. We would definitely stay at the Boat Hotel again
A fantastic place to stay and an ideal location to explore Cairngorms. The service from check-in and throughout our stay was great. Apartment was very clean and comfortable, the decor, the amenities, private parking, all in all an excellent stay.

Breakfast was excellent - good choice available very nicely cooked. Great coffee. Easy to find and well located in Cairngorms. Room comfortable. Very short walk to the Balavil Hotel for supper. Nice welcome tea and cake.
Had a great stay at Cairn Hotel while exploring the Cairngorms area. The room with ensuite was exceptional value including a full Scottish breakfast. Under cover motorcycle parking was a nice surprise.
