Super cute and cosy hotel with very friendly staff. A warm welcome at check in and easy to communicate with before our arrival to make a reservation at their restaurant. The on-site restaurant was great, and really convenient on a Sunday evening (when a lot else is closed) after a long drive. We only wish we had visited in nicer weather so we could make use of the lovely terrace overlooking the little river.

The apartment is perfectly located on the promenade of the Yonne river at the foot of the old town. You can easily walk everywhere. Free parking is on the other side of the river along the road, a three minute walk away (across footbridge). The apartment is cosy with a large dining room table and beautiful views on all sides.
We arrived late at night at Le Maxime. Auxerre was freezing and a soft cloud of icy vapour was lifting up from La Yonne river. Imagine how warm it felt when at the reception they told us we received a free upgrade to the Hotel's suite, with a balcony on the river! Breakfast was prime quality, too. Absolutely recommended.
Location was excellent; just across Yonne River from old town. Room was tiny but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good; like the hotel, nothing fancy but plentiful of choice of good things. The Ibis Budget is no frills but good value. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The hotel is in a gracious old building, conveniently situated for the station and the old city centre. The walk from the station, over the Yonne bridges and along the river is very pleasant. Our room was spacious and well-equipped.

Everything! The Rive Gauche is on the "other side" of the fabulous Saint Lucy Spa, and I was expecting something a little less. This establishment has everything to be proud of, including the wonderful gardens and view I had from my room. I would recommend this as your starting point for your barge holiday. You will not be disappointed, unless you just must stay on the "rive droit"

We stayed here just for one night on our way to Brittany. The room was clean and pretty - ours was on the second floor (which is good because of the old squeaky wooden floors) with a view of the village. Nice French antique style decor, slept with the window open and it was quiet. There is easy parking in front of the hotel.

This hotel is truly unique, it has interesting caves that are set up for various options , breakfast wine tasting etc . Throughout the building the quality and workmanship of the restoration is 1st class. Foremost The entire staff are so attentive and helpful it was really a pleasure. Last but not least the dinner and service, Wine, desert was top drawer. And your in the middle of a great wine region Chablis is 20+ minute drive. We hope to return
