Chateau de Monrecour is located in Périgord Noir region, in the heart of the Dordogne Valley. It offers two heated swimming pools, a large south-facing terrace and a gourmet-style restaurant. The staff at this charming hotel were incredibly welcoming, and the location is stunning! From the moment you arrive, you are immersed in a sense of relaxation and beauty. Our room was situated not in the main building (the castle) but in a lovely annex. It was quiet at night, which is very important to me. The room was spacious and cozy, with tea, coffee, and water available for free. We dined at the restaurant inside the Domaine; the food was good, though in my humble opinion, not exceptional. However, we thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance. The beautiful breakfast room, located inside the castle, offered a great variety of choices. The garden and the view are stunning, with swimming pools located in various spots. Having visited many hotels in Dordogne during my stay, Château de Monrecour was definitely my favorite. I hope to have the chance to go back soon.

Artemisia - Domaine de Rochebois features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Vitrac. The hotel is a chateau that has been recently renovated. Everything is brand new. the rooms are beautifully decorated, super cozy and very comfortable. There is a golf course in the works that should be ready by summer 2023. The food is excellent and the ambiance is great. We will come back to lovely Dordogne and will stay again at the Domaine de Rochebois.

Located in Limeuil, 25 miles from Bergerac Train Station, Les BALCONS de L'ESPERANCE has accommodations with free bikes, free private parking, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and a garden. We were welcomed with a lot of enthusiasm and caring to this beautiful country inn right on the Dordogne River. Sitting on the patio looking out over the valley was a bit of heaven! The dining room was lovely. It was a fine base to visit nearby Sarlat La Canadia and to see other ancient buildings in the Dordogne area.

This hotel is just 558 feet from the Cro-Magnon Shelter and 1148 feet from the National prehistoric Museum. Dating from 1964, it offers a heated, outdoor swimming pool and an on-site bar. Staff were proactively helpful, welcoming and accommodating. We were upgraded to a lovely room in the main house since we’re were returning guests, which was spacious, comfortable and attractive. Homemade breads at breakfast were delicious.

The family room was excellent it combined 2 separate bedrooms with 2 separate toilets and it was very comfortable and roomy. The honor was absolutely charming and help us with everything we’ve asked.
