Tavewa
It was like being part of a family staying at this little piece of heaven in the Yasawa islands. So many beautiful places to choose from but if you’re looking for that personal touch then this is the place for you. It will be the first place we go back when we return to Fiji. The staff went above and beyond and became more like friends. Snorkelling just off the beach was some of the best we’d seen and the walks along the sand just beautiful. Great memories and couldn’t have had lovelier people to weather out the cyclone with 😍
Nacula Island
This place is a gem! We were welcomed so warmly into the village, and got to meet and chat with so many people. This was the first thing we did in the Yasawa Islands, and it was a great place to stay to learn about Fijian culture before moving onto some of the more mainstream resorts. Getting to visit different homes was incredible, and the food was SO delicious - thank you so much to everyone! And finally, how could I not mention the beach? Idyllic! You'll be off-grid, though, so make sure to bring a few good books!
Wayalaila Ecohaven is a resort run by locals and is definitely one of the best spots in Yasawa Islands. Saff is very friendly and will do their best for you so you feel like home. Rooms and entire resort are very tidy. Food was always freshly made and tasty. The resort also offers great activities so you will never be bored. If you want to have a great time in Fiji, you don't have to plan anything in advance. Just visit Wayalaila Ecohaven, and they will organize you the best Fijian holiday.
Absolutely stunning hotel and location, located diretcly on the beach with a hiking trail behind the hotel. This hotel was like something you'd see in a movie, beautiful views, beautiful rooms, private outdoor shower, and big comfortable beds. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, really made it difficult to leave. The South Sea Cruises ferry stops right outside the hotel so it's very easy to travel to the other Yasawa Islands.
We absolutely loved our stay at Oarsmans! Such a beautiful spot, friendly staff and delicious food. This was one of our favourite places in Fiji/the Yasawa Islands. We saw several staff members later during our trip in Fiji at the caves and at Port Denarau, and the fact they recognised us and details of our trip shows how friendly and personal the staff is!
The staff were some of the friendliest people and made my first 2 nights in the Yasawa islands very welcoming. It set a good tone for the rest of my 5 weeks in Fiji. Their dive master was brilliant at suggesting when and where to snorkel as the weather is not always 26°C and sunny. Superb hilltop view as advertised.
Nanuya Lailai
Everything was great. Coming alone i felt a bit apprehensive but sunrise lagoon was so welcoming. From the people to the food everything was amazing, get exactly what you expect and more from a Fijian homestay in the Yasawa islands!
The staff were incredibly friendly and very personable. Eli in particular was a great person who we developed a friendship with. Welcomed to the island with a ceremony as well as when we left.
My recent stay at Navutu Stars in Fiji was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the staff and the beauty of the surroundings made this trip truly unforgettable. We opted for the garden bungalow, and it exceeded our expectations. Tucked away in lush greenery, it offered a perfect blend of privacy and stunning views. The little private beach, just steps away from our bungalow, provided a tranquil escape that made every moment feel like a piece of paradise. The staff at Navutu Stars are the real gems of this resort. Their attentiveness and friendliness were beyond compare. From the moment we checked in to the day we left, Solo, Waiti, Dan, Pene, and, of course, Dolly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Their genuine smiles and eagerness to assist created an atmosphere that felt like a home away from home. The local food at Navutu Stars is a culinary journey in itself. Every meal was a delightful exploration of Fijian flavors, and the chefs showcased their expertise in crafting dishes that were not only delicious but also a true reflection of the local culture. What sets Navutu Stars apart is their flexibility in organizing daily trips. Whether it was exploring the nearby islands, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, or enjoying a sunset cruise, the resort made it easy for us to customize our daily adventures. This flexibility added an extra layer of excitement to our stay. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Solo, Waiti, Dan, Pene, and Dolly. Your dedication and hospitality made our vacation truly special. It's the people that make a place memorable, and the team at Navutu Stars certainly made our stay extraordinary. In conclusion, Navutu Stars is a haven for those seeking a perfect blend of natural beauty, exceptional service, and a touch of local culture. I can't recommend this resort enough and can't wait for the opportunity to return.
Location, accommodations, staff and Private Beach Picnics! Oh, I almost forgot the outdoor shower was a real highlight!
Everything was amazing at Octopus, starting with the tasty water as they do have a spring , coming from the mountains . The bungalows are beautiful, made in a traditional fashion, immersed in this beautiful garden with birds and flowers, it is amazing! The bathrooms are the best, outdoor, you can feel the fresh smell while showering under open air . For dinner, they prepared our table in every detail, we could see it from the pool . We felt spoiled. The food was very good! What else to say? It was a place of perfect relaxation!
The kids club staff was warm, friendly and terrific. Our villa was spacious for our family of 5. We loved the outdoor shower area. The front porch with cushioned seating was very tranquil.
Room, food, service, feeling…. All good.
It was homely and comfortable whilst still giving the chance to experience real village life on the island and live how the families do there.
