I absolutely loved my time at Waya Lailai, this was one of my favourite places i’ve stayed! I originally booked for 4 nights but loved it so much I extended for another 4 nights. The staff & locals welcomed me like family and were always so sweet & kind. It was great getting to know them. The food was delicious and the day time activities were so much fun and varied. It felt like being part of the community whilst staying there. The evenings were always lots of fun, everyone coming together to socialize and hang out. I will be returning as soon as I can - I miss it so much! Thank you to everyone at Waya Lailai 💛
Hotel in Nacula Island
Oarsmans Bay Lodge offers accommodations in Nacula Island. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant and bar. We had an amazing time at Oarsman’s. We took a ferry to get to the island. It’s the last stop in the Northern Yasawas. The location is perfect for snorkeling, turquoise water with a colourful coral reef at your doorstep. The mandatory meal plan includes breakfast, lunch and dinner end everything was absolutely delicious. Drinking water, tea and coffee available at all times. The staff were super friendly, very polite, positive and fun all the time. We stayed in a double beachfront bure, the rooms were clean, with comfortable beds, A/C and nice porch to relax. We felt like home! There is a hiking trail right at the back of the lodge that leads to the top of the hill with beautiful views of the lagoon. The lodge offers plenty of trips and entertainment every day. We’ll never forget the warm welcome of the staff, their hospitality and overall lovely atmosphere of this place. We were so happy and grateful to have chosen Oarsman’s for our stay! It couldn’t have been better! We hope we’ll come back one day and recommend Oarsman’s Bay Lodge to everyone! It’s a paradise on earth!

Set within a tropical garden of coconut palms and surrounded by turquoise water, Coconut beach Resort directly overlooks the world famous Blue Lagoon in the Yasawa Islands. Such a genuine warm welcome and continued care and love at all times. No crowds of noisy tourists here, just peace and quiet and beauty, and all the food and activities that you need. More like a large homestay than a hotel, but very professionally managed. No selection/buffet-style meals, just a pre-planned set menu but this is displayed the day before and you are welcome to negotiate with the chef if you want changes.

Tavewa
It was like being part of a family staying at this little piece of heaven in the Yasawa islands. So many beautiful places to choose from but if you’re looking for that personal touch then this is the place for you. It will be the first place we go back when we return to Fiji. The staff went above and beyond and became more like friends. Snorkelling just off the beach was some of the best we’d seen and the walks along the sand just beautiful. Great memories and couldn’t have had lovelier people to weather out the cyclone with 😍
Nacula Island
This place is a gem! We were welcomed so warmly into the village, and got to meet and chat with so many people. This was the first thing we did in the Yasawa Islands, and it was a great place to stay to learn about Fijian culture before moving onto some of the more mainstream resorts. Getting to visit different homes was incredible, and the food was SO delicious - thank you so much to everyone! And finally, how could I not mention the beach? Idyllic! You'll be off-grid, though, so make sure to bring a few good books!
Wayalaila Ecohaven is a resort run by locals and is definitely one of the best spots in Yasawa Islands. Saff is very friendly and will do their best for you so you feel like home. Rooms and entire resort are very tidy. Food was always freshly made and tasty. The resort also offers great activities so you will never be bored. If you want to have a great time in Fiji, you don't have to plan anything in advance. Just visit Wayalaila Ecohaven, and they will organize you the best Fijian holiday.
Absolutely stunning hotel and location, located diretcly on the beach with a hiking trail behind the hotel. This hotel was like something you'd see in a movie, beautiful views, beautiful rooms, private outdoor shower, and big comfortable beds. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, really made it difficult to leave. The South Sea Cruises ferry stops right outside the hotel so it's very easy to travel to the other Yasawa Islands.
We absolutely loved our stay at Oarsmans! Such a beautiful spot, friendly staff and delicious food. This was one of our favourite places in Fiji/the Yasawa Islands. We saw several staff members later during our trip in Fiji at the caves and at Port Denarau, and the fact they recognised us and details of our trip shows how friendly and personal the staff is!
The staff were some of the friendliest people and made my first 2 nights in the Yasawa islands very welcoming. It set a good tone for the rest of my 5 weeks in Fiji. Their dive master was brilliant at suggesting when and where to snorkel as the weather is not always 26°C and sunny. Superb hilltop view as advertised.
Nanuya Lailai
Everything was great. Coming alone i felt a bit apprehensive but sunrise lagoon was so welcoming. From the people to the food everything was amazing, get exactly what you expect and more from a Fijian homestay in the Yasawa islands!
The amazing staff, food, activities to do, would highly recommend!!!
Awesome location and amazing caring staff. A very authentic Fiji experience
Best resort we've ever been to. Most beautiful people and incredible location
Everything, from the initial transfer pickup at my hotel in Nadi to my final breakfast with my feet in the sand, my stay at Octopus Resort was nothing short of paradise! The most welcoming and friendly staff, I felt right at home, vinaka!
As common knowledge breakfast is usually included in hotel/ resort stays. But we had to pay for it. If there was an option, people would go out to eat but it's on an island. The management should think about it.
Staff, the activities they plan , specially the kava ceremony and a little live from the team. Snorkeling and kayaking we enjoyed which is free and just outside on the beach, crystal clear water. Loved Welcome and farewell songs. And room is nice and spacious. If you're in fiji - go to any islands and don't stay on the mainland as there's nothing much on mainland. I would suggest stay on different island resorts everyday and get the hop on hop off ferry pass for transports.
It was homely and comfortable whilst still giving the chance to experience real village life on the island and live how the families do there.
