Located in the La Rioja wine region, surrounded by great food and wine, lots of small villages scattered throughout the area. Will probably stay at a smaller village next time. LaGuardia looks great.
Albelda is a good choice to stay for a short trip on the La Rioja wine route. It is a short drive to Logrono- where you can get your fill of Pintxos and vino! The village itself is a quiet sleepy one- but with very picturesque countryside. On the whole, a good location to sty a night or two.
happy city. it is not pointed clearly on all web sites, that the wine festival is mainly for local- La Rioja- people. I should have cut my stay to- 1-2 and mainly on san mathue (21/9/2016) day and live the city to continu on my Camino Santiago pilgrim.
Calle Laurel was the best street, for some reason we could not visit the cathedral when we were there which was disappointing. The La Rioja Museum was another great attraction.

Food friendly town that is also capital of La Rioja wine region. On the Camono of Santiago with pretty river front on the Ebro. Small enough for easy navigation but large enough for many restaurants and tapas bars.
Haro the location of the oldest wineries in Rioja - Take the time to visit at least 2 a day. Book ahead so you can do the tours. La RIoja, Alta and R. Lopez Heredia are the best ones the most wines tasted 4 or 5. But for an interesting tasting go to Martinez Lacuesta and ask for a tasting of the Vermouth which is amazing. Muga is the youngest and not one of the originals but a solid tour. At CUNE (CVNE) and Muga they give you the glass as a part of the tour but skimp on the tastings.
What a wonderful apartment in the perfect location in the fantastic town of Haro in La Rioja. Victor met us when we arrived and was so helpful with recommendations of places to visit and restaurants to eat at, and they were perfect recommendations. We had such a great time that we extended our stay for an extra night. The apartment for right in the centre of town, but in a quiet spot. Easy to walk to the wineries and all of the bars and restaurants. It was clean and cool. We loved it! We would definitely stay again.

Nice apartment with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Host was very friendly, welcoming and helpful . Apartment was very clean, conveniently located with parking nearby. Very nice and sunny terrace was a huge bonus. Kitchen was very well equipped. Arnedillo is a nice little place with surprising amount of nice looking and reasonably priced restaurants. Lots of hiking trails nearby. Hot springs baths looked interesting too A perfect base to explore La Rioja region. Good value for money too. Thanks !
We loved it here. I believe this was once a 16th century residence. The room was amazing. Plenty of room. The views from the windows just beautiful. We stayed 2 nights during our 3-week visit to Spain. Location is absolutely perfect for touring bodegas in La Rioja region. Their breakfast was perfect. We did have dinner one evening - excellent. We had a car and was able to park on site. All compliments. We highly recommend and will stay again if we ever return to this area of Spain.
Unlike many other stays in more conventional hotels, this palace shows an exceptional charm reminiscent of the last centuries, although perfectly rehabilitated to provide the best comfort. Beautifully restored historical building in an excellent location, 1 minute walk from the town square. The hotel is managed by 2 exceptionally kind hosts, Clara and Mercedes, who took great care to ensure our stay was very enjoyable by providing us with excellent recommendations on cultural attractions, restaurants and wineries of La Rioja making our time there very memorable.
The hotel is beautifully designed, our room had a nice view of the rio Ebro and staff was friendly. The shower was great and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of bread, pastry and fruits. Everyone was very friendly and the reception helped us in advance to schedule / plan wine tastings and transportation. Great option for La Rioja.

The hotel is beautiful designed and great choice of materials. The room is spacious and the 200 x 200 bed sleeps amazing. Nice breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. There is a good restaurant inside the hotel, which is convenient if you don’t want to go out and drive. Will definitely come back when we visit La Rioja again.

Great location, easy to walk around and explore Haro. The apartment is very nicely done with modern clean interiors and lots of space. We loved the wine barrel in the room and the complimentary wine in the fridge. The stay and the apartment was just delightful for our visit to Haro and the La Rioja wine region.
this is a hotel we have used many times. it is spacious, had amazing grounds, excellent parking and friendly and efficient staff. The town of Navarrete is just a few hundred yards walk away with all facilities. It is excellently located for visiting La Rioja and for travelling north to the ferry ports.
