Djorff Palace has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Luxor. Awesome place! Ideal for a long stay. All personnel was great. The bathroom was fit for a pharaoh. Breakfast was great, and so was dinner. In fact, it was the place I ate in Egypt (it is international cuisine).

This is a kind of place where you artive as a guest and leave as a friend. Hassan's commitment to his guests is truly inspiring. He is always available for any questions and advice, and yet is always diplomatic and soft-spoken. Hassan also has a great sense of humour and talking with him is always a delight, in addition - his English language skills are fantastic. The hotel is located near the ferry dock and sees quite a bit of traffic - you are going to experience a real part of Luxor. It is a great place to stay for independent travellers who are looking for an authentic experience without tourist crowds. The rooms are basic, but super clean and very spacious, the linen and towels are all clean and fresh; the beds, pillows and blankets are very comfortable as well. You also have a very kind employee Mohammed to look after you - he is always helpful, attentive, and does a great job keeping everything clean and safe. The price for this place is also excellent. The hotel has a large rooftop terrace for sweeping views over the Nile. This is also where a lunch bufet is available frim 11a.m. to 3 p.m. We tried the food there, and were also very happy with the selection, price, and attitude. Yes, we were VERY happy with this hotel team, and could HIGHLY RECOMMEND it to those travellers who appreciate a genuine local hospitality!

Located in Luxor, a 10-minute walk from Medinet Habu Temple, Rose Guest House provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. A oasis of peace. Great tranquil place to stay and not just see all that Luxor has to offer, but also to relax. All the staff were very kind and attentive, the food was good and plentiful. If you need a tour or transportation, it will be organized reliably for a fair price, but nobody pushes you to buy anything. Some sights are even in walking distance. Absolutely safe for solo female travellers. If I ever come back to Luxor, I'll choose this place again!

We booked for 2 nights and stay one more night.

Located in Luxor, Jewel Howard Carter Hotel “Howard Carter Guest House “offers luxury accommodations. It offers free Wi-Fi in public areas and Luxor Temple is 1.4 mi away. The location is wonderfully peaceful. We had a room with a balcony looking out over the fields to the Nile - a great respite. The food is wonderful - and especially enjoyed when served outside or on the balcony off the dining area. The entire staff could not have been more friendly. They are able to arrange all tours/transportation/activities but there is no pressure to book through them. Communication and follow-up was great. The quiet location was perfect for us; there may be some extra cost involved in transportation from the ferry when heading to the other side of the Nile but well worth it in our opinion. We'd recommend a multi-night stay to allow for both thorough explanation of the area and relaxation in a beautiful spot.

Located directly next to Madinet Habou Temple, Nour El Balad is located in Luxor. Wi-Fi access is available. It offers mud brick houses with cozy and traditional rooms nestled in a palm grove. Authenticity-Set amongst the Theban hills and Nile agricultural area. Simple, cosy, mud brick cottage with nice garden and rooftop to enjoy the panoramic views. Abdul is super friendly and can help with whatever you need. We booked a hot air balloon tour through him. He is also an excellent chef and the home cooked meals we had at Nour El Balad was the best food we had in Egypt. Duck, chicken, kofta were all superb.

At Luxor's West Bank, directly on the shores of river Nile, a small number of Nubian style huts with a private little garden attached offer privacy and a sense of ownership. Staff are very helpful and friendly and even though committed 24/7, they all provide a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Free transfer by boat between the hotel and downtown Luxor is available around the clock upon call. The little restaurant offers a variety of tasty homemade food — a great breakfast, snacks for lunch and a diverse selection of dishes for dinner. All meals combine elements of the Egyptian and Western cuisine. Drinks (water, soft drinks, beer and a small selection of Egyptian wines) are also available, a specialty is the Turkish style coffee. The hotel offers a small pool perfectly suitable for a quick refreshment. Upon request, bicycles are available for rent, and the famous sights of the area (valley of the kings, valley of the queens, Hatshepsut temple - each approximately 8 km away one way) can be explored easily by bicycle! I lived for four years in Egypt, but this hotel was by far the nicest I ever had!

It’s simply breathtaking. The architecture, the furniture, the art…everything is amazing. The staff is very nice and professional and it as ll starts with Thomas, the general manager who gives very personal attention to every detail.
