Located in Tárcoles, a 4-minute walk from Tarcoles Beach, Akua Suites Ocean View has accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Amazing villas with an even better view. We stayed here for one night and the hotel helped us arrange a ride to the San Jose airport for the following morning. Everything was smooth. Only thing I might yeild if you do stay there is the town that is walkable did not seem very tourist friendly

We had renovated villa in front of a pool. It was beautiful secluded. A lot of birds in the morning wonderful breakfast we loved our stay.

It’s in a quiet fishing village by the beach and is a haven for birdwatchers with Red Macaws in the garden amongst a host of other birds evident by the visit of guides with parties of birdwatchers and has the local Carara National Park just down the Road. The staff produce good and substantial meals and are always ready with any help required. 5 star hotel in a 5 star resort it is not but if you enjoy Costa Rican birds and wildlife together with a trip to the Pacific cost then don’t bypass Tarcoles and The House of Macaws
Hotel Cerro Lodge is an absolute bargain and a great place to stay at. The room was clean, with good facilities, and the hotel itself was in lovely grounds, with a nice pool and friendly staff. The restaurant served reasonably priced, good food, and the service was great. The TV in the room worked well and had lots of channels. The hotel was located very close to Tarcoles Bridge and Carara National Park for those who wish to visit, and was quiet in the evening.
