Hotel Lomas del Volcan ligt op 14 km van het nationale park Arenal Volcano. Het biedt weelderige tuinen, een buitenzwembad en een hot tub. Beautiful setting, amazing view of the volcano and lovely gardens. Staff were helpful and excellent.

Het Arenal Manoa & Hot Springs heeft een grote tuin, een zonneterras met zwembad, spabehandelingen en gratis WiFi in het hele pand. The pools, the huge breakfast, the restaurant with multiple choices, sushi were great! the environnement, the birds and flowers, the pool bar, the spa the staff. Everything was great!

Bungalows Las Iguanas Arenal Volcano bevindt zich in Fortuna, op 15 km van La Fortuna-waterval, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een terras. This was one of our favourite places to stay in Costa Rica. The breakfast was delicious and so fresh, the family who runs the business were so friendly and kind, and the rooms were so relaxing and comfortable. It is 20 mins from La Fortuna which didn’t both us as it was nice and quiet and we had our own car. The hot tub on the deck was one of our favourite parts to enjoy each evening and the bed was so comfortable. The pictures look outdated as the room was very modern. Also very clean. Highly highly recommend this place!!

Sangregado Lodge bevindt zich in Fortuna, op 22 km van La Fortuna-waterval, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een terras en een restaurant. Ligging is prachtig, uitzicht op Arenal kan niet beter en het ligt pal tegenover Mistico Hanging Bridges waardoor je daar ‘s ochtends meteen om 8:00 als eerste groep naar binnen kan. Personeel is ook bijzonder vriendelijk en behulpzaam bij boeken van excursies.

Noah's Forest Hotel by Tifakara bevindt zich in Fortuna, op 7,4 km van La Fortuna-waterval, en biedt accommodatie met een buitenzwembad, gratis privéparkeren, een tuin en een gedeelde lounge. Fantastisch verblijf gehad met ons gezin. Mooi domein, zwembad. Lekker eten. De kamer was modern, ruim, voorzien van alle comfort, mooie badkamer, privé terras en tuin. Het personeel was heel behulpzaam. Ze gaven advies over te bezoeken locaties, activiteiten en toonden ons toekans, iguanas, luiaard die op het domein kwamen.

Amor Arenal Adults Friendly ligt in Fortuna, op 10 km van La Fortuna-waterval, en biedt conciërgediensten, rookvrije kamers, een tuin, gratis WiFi en een bar. An oasis of relaxation, very large rooms with jaccuzi and large bathroom overlooking the vegetation. An unforgettable experience where we savored every moment. The fitness room, the trail, the restaurants, everything is sublime.

Finca Luna Nueva Lodge ligt in Fortuna in de regio Alajuela, op 26 km van Monteverde. Het biedt een buitenbad en een spacentrum. We stayed at Finca Nueva for 2 days. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! ROOM: Apparently we booked the best room (the Dome) that I highly recommend. It wasn’t more expensive than other rooms. It’s basically a huge bungalow with its own secluded garden. The room was huge and the interior was very unique. Very clean and cozy. There was a little kitchenette outside the bungalow with a tea pot/coffee maker/fridge with complimentary home brewed kombucha and homemade herbal tea. PROPERTY: this was what amazed as the most. This eco-friendly hotel is located on a few acres of rainforest. Their property included: a farm and a garden where they grow veggies, herbs, fruits, cocoa beans, tea, coffee, ginger, vanilla beans and DOZENS of other species if plants and beautiful flowers, a bamboo tower, a pool and a few MILES of trails through the rainforest that are perfectly maintained. They also offer tours like chocolate, coffee, animals/birds-watching tour that are highly rated but unfortunately they were fully booked so we couldn’t go. Also, they had an amazing yoga pavilion right next to our bungalow that we used a lot. During our stay we saw a sloth, agouties, toucans, parrots on the property. FOOD: Farm to table. They don’t have a set menu. Every day they decide what seasonal food they’ll serve based on what’s growing on their farm. They also prioritize buying from local farmers. Literally everything is homegrown, homemade and tastes delicious: bread, milk, kefir, butter, tea, chocolate… During our stay both breakfast and dinner were buffet style. Most delicious and healthy meals we’ve had in Costa Rica!

Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Tifakara Boutique Hotel is located just outside Arenal Volcano National Park in Fortuna where you can enjoy stunning volcanic views. Perfect location just outside of La Fortuna - beautiful environment with private and quiet units surrounded by exquisitely manicured jungle gardens abundant with birds, monkeys and squirrels. Efficient and helpful reception, super friendly staff. The living unit was beautiful with all amenities and comforts as expected - outdoor shower a great surprise. Reception, restaurant and outdoor pool areas designed to be one with nature - perfect view of the volcano included. The breakfast menu is a highlight , take your time while observing the local great curassows enjoying their breakfast as well! Fortuna waterfall within walking distance, on the way back stop for a coffee at the local dog rescue centre. Regarding other off-site activities we went zip-lining, Arenal nature reserve walk, evening with meal at a hot spring facility, and a barber shop visit in Fortuna - according to my son, one of the best cuts he ever had!
