Located on an elevated position in Fladnitz an der Teichalm, G.H. Knoll "Proellhofer" Cafe Bar Hills offers scenic views of the Almenland Region. Friendly staff. I was really late in arriving and they stayed up to let me in. Great room: spacious and well laid out. The designer and craftsmen who installed it were true modern artists. For example, the thin wood strip marquetry on the wood base for the clothes hanger. The gently curved cabinet under the bathroom sink. The irregularly shaped inlaid tile ornament in the bathroom wall. Fine breakfast: not a buffet, just ask and they will create. For example, a perfect omelette served in its pan which kept it quite hot. A fine fruit and cheese plate. Peace and quiet and the view of the hills with forests and fields out the windows in the morning.

The family-run 4-star Naturhotel Bauernhofer is set in a quiet location on 3.7 feet above sea level on the Brandlucken, amid the Almenland Nature Park. Super friendly staff. Amazing facilities and view, the pictures don’t do it justice! My partner and I stayed here for the Austrian Grand Prix, and although being quite far from Spielberg, it was worth every penny. The spa and pools were so relaxing, perfect to wind down after driving 3 hours a day and watching F1 in the sun. What really exceeded my expectations was the food! We paid for the breakfast and dinner in advance, and didn’t expect much. However, we were both in awe of how fantastic the meals were each day. The dinner included 5 courses: starter, soup, salad, main, and dessert! I would honestly say the food was Michelin star quality, every day we were served with incredible meals - there was nothing I disliked even a bit. We would love to go back to Austria just to stay here again. 100% recommend.

Offering a covered outdoor pool, Hotel Garni Thermenoase is located in Bad Blumau. It’s out of the way and not crowded or full of people all over. It’s a family-owned business type environment although I’m not sure if it is, but I assume so. Folks were very friendly, and spoke English with us, since we don’t speak German. We got some cards to use all around Austria with a lot of free stuff while we stayed on the property. Also got a hefty discount at Rogner Bad Blumau where we celebrated our 20 year anniversary. Also the included great breakfast was very delicious with a good array of options. There is a pool next to the river where you can spend some quiet time reaing a book while you eat a fresh picked apple from their apple trees. Thank You Staff.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We chose a suite and were surprised by the size of it. It had a coffee maker and a small fridge which were perfect for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the walk-in shower was great. There was a tub but we didn't use it during our stay. There was a nice porch out front where we sat to enjoy the spring sunshine. Breakfast was a feast with items and coffee made to order as well as a large layout of food to chose from in the buffet. We ate dinner in the evening and everything was fresh and made to order. It was so good we were even tempted by dessert. We enjoyed being in a family run establishment which made us feel like welcome guests.
