Pikillaqta
A large Wari village, Pikillaqta was mysteriously abandoned in 1,100 AD and soon after set ablaze. Despite ancient attempts at arson, the site is still amazingly intact. You’ll wander the streets and plazas past the temples, communal buildings, homes and storage structures – some of the buildings are an impressive four stories tall!

We were there March, 2024.
We were there March, 2024. If you visit only one site in Barcelona, this has to be it. Make sure you get your ticket ahead of time or you may find yourself waiting a long time in line. We recommend you get your tickets for the late afternoon when the sun rays are low and shine through the stained glass windows. Guaranteed--you will remember the sight for the rest of your life, just take time and soak it in. It gets crowded inside so take your time. Yes, go up one of the towers. And, go to the basement exhibit to get the story about the Sagrada's building(not complete). Also, go across the street to the parks on both sides to get full views of the breadth of the structure(each side different). A wonder.

One of the wonders of the world.
One of the wonders of the world. Get tickets and prepare for a long visit.
It is crowded, but well worth it. Assume you are surrounded by pickpockets. Wear a money belt and keep your hand on your phone.

Compared with the exquisite houses Gaudi created, I was not thrilled by this cathedral. The tour company kept us waiting and waiting as it changed the person to guide us. And he was not knowledgeable or informing.

Definitely, book a tour guide.
Definitely, book a tour guide. There is so much symbolism in the Sagrada that you may miss it if you go alone.
Church services on Sunday that anyone can attend without paying an entrance fee (obviously).

Make sure you make reservations in advance to see this incredible structure that is still under construction. It's a favorite of visitors and quite crowded at times. Gaudi was
a remarkable man. Be sure to visit the museum with a good video.

The outside view is the attraction.
The outside view is the attraction. The inside was indeed picturesque in the Gaudí vision. I thought that the inside was very noisy and disrespectful for the nature of a "church". Lots of tour guides and people. Looking back I would say this is a great visit to see Gaudí's work. I wouldn't go inside to see a "holy" place and say a prayer. You can skip the inside.

Fantastic hotel within ten minute walk of the La Sagrada Familia Church. The breakfast was delicious, hearty, with plenty of options for anyone with any specific dietary needs. Exceptionally clean. Safety conscious with public areas requiring key to enter. Nice exercise room. Nice little pool on an exceptionally beautiful rooftop deck. I could have stayed here longer if possible, but unfortunately, we had to move to next stop on vacation!
The apartment is in the city center close to everything. In 8 minutes walk you are at Sagrada Familia and in 3 minute you are at a hop-on hop-off bus station. The check in is easy.
Location of the apartment next to Sagrada Familia is great. The person incharge Matteo was a great guy but not much that he could do although he did offer a 5% refund.
An ideal hotel, with incredibly helpful staff for both check-in and acting as concierge for tickets and taxis. The staff from trainees to the manager were wonderful and they went out of their way to show hospitality. Great mattresses, good room, upscale feel, good breakfast, great location., and with strong wifi. It was only a nice walk to the double-decker bus, the La Sagrada Familia, and the beach with an active boardwalk.
We arrived early and the staff at the main office were extremely friendly and helpful. It was nice to be able to leave our luggage there since we arrived before check in.
The apartment was spacious and bright. The terrace in the apartment was just lovely. We enjoyed drinking coffee or sipping wine there. The rooftop terrace was also great.
The location worked very well for us. It’s near the Sagrada Familia, we walked home from Park Guell, plenty of great restaurants nearby and enjoyed the market down the street.
The hotel is located in a quiet street around the corner from Sagrada Familia. The access to the subway takes you everywhere else in Barcelona. The place was clean and comfortable.
The location in Barcelona is excellent - can walk to Sagrada Familia, Casa Mira, and many cafes and restaurants. The breakfast is wonderful. The staff are incredible - very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They really are what makes Hotel Well and Come great. We were sad that we didn't get to say goodbye to Claudia and a few others who were off on the day we left.
Apartments are located in the heart of the modern Barcelona center.
Barri Gotic and Sagrada Familia are nearby.
A lot of shops nearby were opened till the very late night.
Good cafes nearby.
Safe and beautiful neighbourhood.
Apartments were clean, communication with hosts was excellent.
The view was phenomenal, which is why I booked this hotel. I was so happy to see the Sagrada Familia while lying in bed. I appreciated that they had automatic window shutters, which allowed the noise and light to be blocked. The room was very spacious and clean. It was close to many attractions I visited; I never took a taxi. I loved Barcelona; this hotel was the cherry on my trip.
Probably the best location for a short trip to Barcelona. It was not my first visit but this place added much to the experience. A view from the window to Sagrada Familia is just amazing. The one from the roof terrace is even better. The apartment has everything you may need. Feels like home. Very attentive and helpful staff. There's an in-house parking for an extra fee that is very close but you will really need someone to meet you and show the way.

It also shows where Goudi developed some of the ideas used in the Sagrada Familia. The opportunity to have your photo taken (10 euro photo or 13 euro photo + digital download ) from the highest sharks mouth balcony should be taken as it will probably be one of the few which includes everyone rather than excludes the one holding the camera.
