The Hotel Christine is truly a hidden gem, a short walk from the busy downtown, in the quaint city of Fussen, with many rooms overlooking the majestic Neuschwanstein castle. From the moment you enter the hotel, there is thoughtful attention to the smallest of details from the flowers in the lobby to the modern furniture to the two tiny bells on the counter. It is a sign of things to come! Once in your room a beautiful welcome plate of the finest chocolates and other treats awaits you. Of note, is the large bathroom and sizable closet but I haven’t even mentioned the best parts of the Hotel Christine yet. That comes with the breakfast experience in the morning that I can guarantee - you will never forget. The table layouts, music, service, food quality and presentation with incredible attention to the smallest of details and the overall experience are on par with the best restaurants in the world! Chef Kurt is not only a master chef that is Michelin star recognized but a gentle and caring soul who named the hotel after his beloved sister. In addition to Kurt’s culinary expertise is Ana who makes your entire stay at the hotel a wonderful memory. It is she who greets everyone with a warm smile and a way about her that exudes kindness and love and will make you a better person for having spoken to her. I don’t often write reviews because the majority of my hotel stays around the world are good to satisfactory but I felt compelled to comment on the Hotel Christine because it truly was an exceptional experience my wife and I will never forget for all the reasons I just mentioned. I’m not sure if I’ll ever make it to Fussen, Germany again but if I do there is no other hotel I would consider.

This was such an amazing experience. The hotel is amazing, and nestled in a beautifully scenic area. The view of the Alps and surrounding castles was breathtaking. The staff was wonderful, and the amenities were incredible. We particularly loved the sauna and spa which is above and beyond for a typical hotel. The accommodations were lovely and the breakfast was one of the best we’ve experienced in Europe. I would highly recommend this property!

Beautiful to look at, but wear good walking shoes. Steep walk up the hillside from the town, only about 1.5km but you feel it!! It is possible to get a horse/buggy ride, but then you miss the exercise! Interesting inside, albeit not a lot of rooms - it is guided tours only, and when it is busy the group is very big and it can be very hard both to hear and to see.

Professional, friendly staff. Very clean and in a quiet location. View of Neuschwanstein castle from some of the rooms. Superb food in the hotel restaurant—not to be missed.
The hotel is in a historical building older than Neuschwanstein castle but it’s so lovely And clean. The staff is really nice and the whole town has a very friendly summer camp vibe. Schwangau is so much less touristy than Hohenschwangau but you can still see the castle from most points in the town. You can walk around the lake, have a campfire at night, sit out on your balcony and watch the horses run around in the mornings. It was great!!
Beautiful views. The room was very nice. The staff were super nice, particular the restaurant staff. We had dinner two nights and the food was excellent. Likewise the breakfast was amazing.
The location is near the Neuschwanstein Castle and the Hohenschwangau Castle. We actually looked right at the Hohenschwangau Castle from our room.
The spa facilities are nice and the massage therapists were fantastic (Alfie and Eva). I highly recommend them.

The hotel was almost empty when we stayed there. So the owner of the hotel prepared and served the breakfast, which was ok and plentiful. The room was very clean. It is 5 min drive to the parking area of the famous Neuschwanstein castle. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there.
The property stayed true to its branding as a boutique hotel - very chic and it made us feel at home. Our room was superb! Room amenities were complete and it had a fantastic view of the Neuschwanstein Castle. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious! I wish we stayed longer.
Most important: owners and staff had always a smile in their faces! They were very gentil and kind … all the time. Very comfortable family hotel. Very nice, clean apartment with full kitchen. Shower was great, too. We loved this place. Neuschwanstein castle was like 5 min driving. The owner was very friendly.
