This has become one of our most memorable and favorite hotels anywhere -really more like a bed & breakfast homestay. Classic vintage furniture, hanging lanterns, ceiling fans, plant-life, wall murals, retro decor almost like a museum, makes you feel like you're in a film set in Bangkok 1960. Original architectural charm throughout, open-air lobby lounge cafe, phenomenal made to order breakfast, fruit bowls, coffee beverages, and buttery French pastries (wow) made daily at the on-site bakery kitchen. Big, comfortable beds, electric-saving auto lighting & a/c, our room had a small terrace overlooking the neighborhood, laundry machines on site for guest's use, small fee includes eco-friendly soap, welcome messages at the entry gate, quiet, peaceful, residential, old-town, accessible location, family friendly, not a party hotel. Nearby a beautiful river and bridge lit up at night, street food vendors nearby, there's a corner 7-11 for anything else required. We had to checkout very early for a flight when we left, and staff arranged very reasonable taxi service for us. We also had to miss breakfast that morning so they packed us takeaway sandwiches for the plane!

We LOVED this hotel! The property was beautiful and quaint. We loved how it felt so small and personal. The room was amazing as well as the cute lobby area where we’d have breakfast. Wonderful authentic Thai Teak House, with tranquil central courtyard, located on a quiet side street. We stayed in a lovely room with our own private balcony, accessed by a spiral staircase. Breakfast was freshly prepared with options to meet everyone's preferences. The location was great, close to major temples, markets and other attractions. Host was very welcoming and so helpful. Returning to the quiet, relaxing atmosphere at the Green Teak House after a busy day in Bangkok was the best. Would definitely stay there again.

Attentive and thorough staff. Gus and his mother made us feel like family. Prepared breakfast each morning with fresh local fruit. Really clean room and facilities. Location was nice and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still close enough to the ferry (which was a great mode of transport) over the river. There is also a market right next door with good food and various stalls. Would recommend this accommodation to anyone staying in bangkok.
