Located within a 2-minute walk of Jongmyo Shrine and 600 yards of Changdeokgung Palace, Tong Tong Petit Hotel provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Seoul. The location is pretty convenient, you have access to multiple lines and close to Seoul station. It's also walking distance from insadong area which has a ton of cute cafes and shops. The room itself was pretty roomy and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. I think value wise this is a great hotel for what you're getting.

Well located in the Jongno-gu district of Seoul, Glue Hotel is located a 12-minute walk from Dongdaemun Market, 0.8 miles from Changgyeonggung Palace and a 12-minute walk from Gwangjang Market. I keep coming here anytime I am in Seoul! Rooms are clean and spacious and position is great!

A 9-minute walk from Jongmyo Shrine, Hotel Kuretakeso Insadong provides 3-star accommodations in the Jongno-gu district of Seoul. Near the Palace, subway station and bus stop. The price is reasonable. Staffs were friendly and helpful. The room is quite small but has everything you need.

Location, location, location. Jongno area is so lively at night. Many restaurants, cafes, street food. Close to everything, the Palaces, Insagong, Ikseondong, beautiful Jongmyo shrine, Tapgol park, Gwangjang market, 20 minutes by foot or 2-3 bus stops from Myeongdong, the same from DDP and Dongdaemun. Big and clean rooms, very nice and rich breakfast with sandwiches, vegetables, soup, cornflakes and several choices for coffee and tea (tip: you must arrive early). Beautiful garden to eat breakfast outside. The staff is helpful and although most of the communication was with google translate, they did their best to help us. The laudry service is excellent. We asked to make a muxed laundry no bleach and it came back clean with a nice smell. 🙂 We loved it.

Just 1200 ft from Jongno 3-Ga subway station, Amare Hotel offers spacious and luxurious rooms with spa bathtubs, 2 PCs with free internet and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Very value for money given the space and location of the hotel! Nearest train station is Jongno3(sam)-go, it can be abit of walking distance in the train station to exit. When first arrived we went a big round as the only exit with a lift is exit 8. For stairs, you can exit from 4/5/6/7/8. For lift at exit 8, cross the road and turn left, then right into the alley towards Hotel (5min walk). For stairs from exit 5, walk straight about 4mins and turn left into alley towards Hotel. The hotel is new and has a grand opening. We received a free upgrade upon checkin and really enjoy the stay even though it was just a day. Very spacious and feels like we booked an apartment. Toilet was spacious with bathtub, small pantry area, super comfortable bed and pillow, big tv screen and has netflix too. Surrounding hotel has many choices of food and restaurants, we had local korean food nearby which was really good. In terms of shopping, there's nothing much to shop for. It's very convenient to travel to other stations.
