This place is a walking distance to the shops and transportation, its a great place to go and relax for a group of friends or a family.
Bela Bela is a small town and everything is central.
Bela Bela is a small town and everything is central. I found that there wasn't a lot of things that can be done at a reasonable price except for the Warmbaths resort. Restaurants and a shopping center were a 5 mins drive from where we booked and that was a big plus for us.

Would've been nice to see the Big 5 as advertised, but we didn't get to see any elephants, although were told people on the game drives see them as the game rangers know where they are. The Lions are kept in an enclosure, but you are not able to view them freely, you can only see them on Wednesday and Sunday morning for feeding. Having said that we did enjoy our stay, it was relaxing, everyone was friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again.

We stayed in the Mablingwe Nature Reserve, Private Residences, the ROCK COTTAGE, which I would never recommend as your safety is not considered even if the ceilings fall down,
For me if you have great accommodation and comfort the being in the bush experience can be enjoyed, dont expect an animal safari.

Everything was perfect except that game driving was not available during our stay. We thought that breakfast was offered only to find out that where we are staying they don't bring it! We also didn't bring any food only to find out that the only shop that is there is extremely expensive then the following day we drove to town to buy our own grocery at known grocery shops.
It's easy to drive around Bela- Bela. Next time we know that will have to bring with our own grocery since buying at the facility cost an arm and a leg!

We loved the house.
We loved the house. It was well decorated, had the comfort of a luxury home away from home with everything in the house needed to be comfortable. The kitchen cutlery and crookery was sufficient for my family and visitors.
The game room was amazing. Both young and old were able to play the games that was available.
The scenery is breath taking and we had a front row view of the lake which we enjoyed as well. I will highly recommend Fish Eagle Manor to any interested traveler and will rebook when I return to South Africa.

Most accommodation places are close to the city and the Forever resort which makes life easier. We had Christmas lunch at one of the exotic restaurant by the name of Rusty Grille. Spa places were also within the proximity of our stay.
The location was amazing in a nature reserve surrounded by wildlife. The host was friendly and welcoming and sent through all the information we needed ahead of time, checked in on us before we arrived and arranged the accommodation ahead of check in time. Our chalet and room was equipped for self catering, clean and so comfortable. This was a hidden gem at an affordable price compared to other places in the area.
The property was exactly what was mentioned, we went with four kids ( ages 2,5,8 & 10) and they thoroughly enjoyed the property and the daily visits from the animals.the property is well equipped for self catering (Kitchen,Gas Braai * Weber Kettle braai).
The House Keeper was Joanna was excellent as well as the contact Natalie who responded to all our queries promptly. Thank you Joanna and Natalie.
What a pleasant surprise! The hostess made us feel like we are royalty - serving us with an exquisite breakfast she prepared herself.

Lovely stay all in-all, good quiet outing for family and friends. Having the wild peaceful animals outside the unit was wonderful.
The surprise was finding the Book shelf in the unit filled with all types of novels/books for interesting read- for different age groups.
Even though we did not have breakfast there, the presentation of their breakfast looks superb and I overheard some of the guests who were also booked there saying that the breakfast is nice and yummy. What I like about the hotel is the art and their spacious rooms as well as the location and the staff friendliness.
Hotel is affordable, everything is everything is walk distance & I like savety, staff are amazing🥰, one of the ladies forget a wallet in a room, one of ladies come to us at a reception & bring it ,your staff are 100 & more, I can visit anytime ❤
The deco of the hotel is amazing best I have seen in long time (stole inspiration ideas for my own home) . Staff friendly and breakfast was amazing. Location is perfect and quiet and tranquil.
