Location, finishing touches in common areas, fire pit area/kayak/bike are great features but we did not use, waterfront on river, breakfast, snacks, kitchenette, warm/cozy decor.

We loved that we could bring our dog and the wee was nice area to walk her and poop bags provided as well. The rooms were clean and appropriate for the affordable rate. We liked being right near our car as well. Also there is an amazing breakfast place across the street and a Dairy Queen next door! Also close to grocery store and other shops/fast food places.

The property manager, our Desler kept me on hold was very rude and nasty to me charge me for the room and then asked me to leave

There isn't breakfast here which is fine, motel is good location and is a great value and clean with no frills. Stay here all the time and would recommend it for short stays while traveling through the area.
The Griswold Inn has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Essex. Located around 11 miles from Goodspeed Opera House, the inn with free WiFi is also 22 miles away from Wesleyan University.

I loved the ocean water being calm with no large waves to knock you over. Also, beautiful location and might get lucky to have sea view from your room. Pools were nice and jacuzzi by indoor pool. The best part was walking out to Salt Island during low tide! Just next time I would have water shoes so you can climb the rocks on the island. We had 2 decent days before check out, weather was good but at check out..rained the whole day. Would have liked one more beach day. Also you can walk to other restaurants close by to eat.

We loved Westbrook town and the surrounding area, lovely People in the streets: greeted us everywhere we end with good morning, have a good day, or just hello 👋, the restaurant’s are amazingly good, fresh foods and great variety in a very budget friendly prices for family of 6 on vacation. Other then the hotel, we enjoyed the town and the hiking trails all over the state.

Beautiful property. The staff was beyond amazing and extremely accommodating. I would have loved to stay longer. Food at the bar was delicious and the waitress was fantastic. The front desk went above and beyond to make sure we were happy.
Probably one of the best experiences I’ve EVER had. Meri and Hilda were so warm and accommodating. The home is marvelous, beautiful and SO cozy. My room had the softest bedding imaginable (I bought a set!) Breakfast was absolutely delicious. The surroundings were stunning! Few minutes from the beach and cafes. Definitely coming back!!
The food was great! We had some trouble with waitstaff but it was because several people called out. Can't help that! The grounds were beautiful - the beach is private to the hotel - not many people there as it was chilly. Turns out the property is a vacation club as well. We didn't expect how nice it was.

The grounds are well maintained. Wonderful view. Evening entertainment on the bar’s patio. Indoor pool and fitness area are great for workouts and rainy days. Westbrook Pizza on the property is a pretty good. Located a short drive from The Kate.
Liked the friendly, courteous staff, view of ocean from hotel and outdoor pool, location, comfortable bed, fun restaurant, great hot tub and indoor pool. Toiletries smelled amazing. Starbucks coffee for purchase. Cute, cozy window seat in room.
Outstanding ! By far the best B&B we've ever stayed at. The total package...Mary & Jim, the beautiful Inn, the incredible breakfasts and last but not least, the location .Perfect!
Breakfast was good. It was limited to what was being served that day.The room was very clean. The owner was fabulous. She gave us the best restaurants to eat in, places to go etc.
