The Historic Taos Inn is perfectly situated in the beautiful town of Taos. The rooms are quaint and comfortable and we had a lovely courtyard with trees and flowers just outside the door. We were with our dog and the Inn was very welcoming to dogs which made it even nicer. There was live music in the bar/front lobby area which was wonderful!

The drive up from Santa Fe and the view of the Rio Grande...
The drive up from Santa Fe and the view of the Rio Grande gorge was exquisite. The church of San Francisco de Asis is a beautiful example of Spanish Mission style adobe churches and the people of the community are wonderful, welcoming, and pleasant. Five Star burgers had great food and a good selection of local beers.

The staff is excellent. Room was charming and comfortable. Well, maintained. The breakfast is one of the best we've ever had. They had tamales! The salsa was fresh and tasty. Cookies chips and salsa in the afternoon in the lobby. On site laundry. Taos is easy to get around and they have an excellent public library.

Taos is currently working on their Plaza.
Taos is currently working on their Plaza. I’m looking forward to that project being completed. Around the Plaza the Gorge and the Alley Cantina are both great places to eat and drink. The trip to Rancho de Taos is mandatory. Not only for the beautiful church but for the restaurant in the plaza behind the church. The Ranchos Plaza Grill is fantastic!! Their hours are kinda weird so check before going.

Slightly too touristy for my liking, but with some lovely walks when you drive to them; well worth to go to the Rio GRande gorge walks and also see the bridge and walk across it; Taos pueblo is always worth a visit and to do a tour there; this time we did the enchanted circle drive, very stunnng scenery.
Taos centre is ok for a coffee, but I would avoid it mainly
we absolutely loved our stay!! the property was steeped in history which made the stay extra special - but our hosts were amazing also. Always had great recommendations of activities for the family abs the breakfasts were home made and delicious Such a treat after our basic hotel breakfasts of we’d had before arriving.
also the location is perfect, it is only a five minute walk in to the plaza for shopping, visiting museums and dining.
Taos is a beautiful town with so much to see and do and amazing restaurants.
This was the perfect location to experience Taos. It wa right on the plaza so was easy to walk to lots of different shops. There weren't as many restaurants within an easy walk and some are only open till mid afternoon, but we found some good ones to eat at. Also, we took the Taos Trolley Tour which was really great and it left from the plaza so that was convenient also. It took us out to the Taos Pueblo. The hotel staff was excellent and always so helpful.
No free breakfast, no credit for breakfast in your restaurant at $200 a night. Could have offered something pre-packaged and free coffee. Other hotels offered breakfast. We ate one evening meal in restaurant but would not again as menu was very limited and food not tasty. Taco's in Taos and almost un-eatable. Sorry.
Rooms very pretty. Manager at desk very helpful and pleasant.
The close proximity (Across the street) to the Taos Plaza! The room, the hospitality and the owner (Paco) were fabulous. The historical significance of the Inn itself, gave us much information to our family’s cultural ties and exact location, now in New Mexico. Many festivities and magnificent shops! (Check out the lobby, with one of the oldest wells in Taos still on site!)
Although this was the last property within walking distance of Taos, it was absolutely fine. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. This stay was one day after NM opened up for COVID. The hotel did a good job with coping with challenges. Because the dining room had not yet opened due to COVID, they offered us free snacks.
what a delight! totally surreal, but functional too.
I found hotel Luna mystica on TripAdvisor, wasn’t planning on staying overnight in Taos but couldn’t pass this up. incredibly unique experience to sleep in a very comfortable retro camper. after a day of exploring it was lovely to sit at a campfire and stargaze.
Quiet. Clean room; we got a remodeled room. Older property in downtown Taos but they’re making efforts to remodel property. Main drag under construction at this time so traffic leaves a lot to to look forward to. Winter should be nothing to attract one to this area this ski season.
Hotel is the need of a refresh, not quite shabby but definitely seen better days. Staff was nice. No restaurant , only a coffee shop. Taos Square is going through some kind of major renovation, which contributes to the overall run down feel.
The front desk reception was wonderful. The rooms were large and clean. The pool was nice and warm. The residents of Taos were very welcoming. The hotel was very close to San Francisco de Asis where we attended Easter Sunday Mass.
Loved the quiet, yet central location, the made-to-order breakfasts, the kind staff and the cozy room with fireplace ready to light! The bed was very comfortable and the entire inn felt like a home rather than a hotel.
Everything was good here. Spacious and comfortable room, attractive decor with many murals across the property. Plenty of places to sit outdoors, including a large garden. If we ever visit Taos again we ill stay here.
The hotel is in an excellent location, steps from the Taos Square and several restaurants. The breakfast is fantastic and common breakfast room and sitting room fabulous. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
