Of the numerous chain hotels along this stretch of route 1, this is one of the closest to the university and is conveniently located such that you can drive in to Princeton proper without having to get on the Brunswick Pike. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast hours are limited but include a hot buffet with some tasty options! Appreciated the large room and very comfortable bed.

Made eating convenient and was in a great location!
No bedding provided for unwanted pull out. Asked for first floor, (in a wheelchair), given a room on the third floor! If you’re not a coffee drinker the grab and go breakfast offered nothing else! Double charged, only partial refund so far. The problems encountered were the properties fault not the booking agents. Pitiful experience. Cancelled second reservation.

Overall the room was good but the air conditioner wasn’t really blowing out cool air, The bathroom had a few issues, the staff was great but management gave me a hard time… The area was definitely great the places to eat and order from was good but traffic is definitely heavy around a certain time of the day which is what I tried to avoid…

Parking was good, shower was good.
Parking was good, shower was good.
They seem to be out of everything; vending machine not working, no ice machine, no extra towels, one of the wash towels in the room was dirty. Entire building smelled old and moldy. Carpet was dirty, TV remote needed batteries. My son said he saw a large bug.
Receptionist seemed miserable with her job. My husband said there was no breakfast that next morning. Two washers defective in laundry room. No soap for sale. Could not wait to leave.

We loved the room.
We loved the room. It was "J" shaped which gave us plenty of room to move around and lots of window light. The pictures on the walls were of special places in Princeton. The staff were very friendly and we felt like they were glad that they could serve us. The breakfast had several choices and lots of everything. There was free parking close to the building.

We found the area easy to get around by car and simple to find destinations for walking, eating and shopping. We visited the NJ Grounds for Sculpture which is an incredible Garden and Sculpture museum. Art is both in the garden and in enclosed gallery spaces. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves there and will return.

The hotel is about 15 mins from Princeton University and Nassau Street where there are great places to dine and shop like Dinky Bar, Milk and Cookies, The lavender farm and the blended spoon. The Hotel is fully stocked with the essentials for a long stay. It is also located near groceries and restaurants. We stayed for four nights to visit nearby colleges. The location was perfect for us to take a train from Princeton Jct. to NYC we were there in an hour using NJ Transit. Also travelled to Philly on another day. Its safer and more economical than staying in those cities
This is our favorite place to stay in the Princeton area outside of the Nassau Inn. It is very close to campus, a beautiful hotel with a wonderful lobby and restaurant/bar, plus a small shop with drinks/snacks/etc. Parking is easy and access to the Princeton campus is very simple. The rooms are always clean and well-maintained.
DoubleTree is doubly old and antiquated. The whole facility is falling apart. I just stary at Hilton HomeSuite 2 and then switched to doubletree. I was doubly shocked with the quality of the hotel. Bottom line is that the hotel and its brand is so old....definitely needs an uplift. There is no coffee in the lobby!
I always get the one bedroom suite and it’s amazing. So big and has an almost full kitchen (no oven). The breakfast buffet is amazing but ends early. Love the pool area and the hotel is one I always stay at when in the area.
Overall I will stay here over and over again!
Currently the only hotel in downtown Princeton (until The Graduate opens next year). Its certainly bigger than the pictures would suggest. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Staff was great, and also they provide free water bottles if you need.
Fantastic location, staff were excellent, clean room, comfortable bed, powerful shower and would recommend the restaurant (order the mushroom truffle oil pasta!) excellent business working area. Michael and the staff were superb!
Breakfast had a nice selection. Eggs, sausage, potatoes andwaffles were warm and fresh. Room was very clean. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Pool area had plenty of towels and w water was warm.
There is not too much positive things to say about the hotel. The location is good next to the #1 route and close to Proncetown center. The parking spots are good and spacious.
Bed was comfortable
Staff was very friendly
The area was quiet, ducked off, and safe
Everything that you needed was a 7 minute drive away from the hotel
Nice quiet room with a comfortable bed. Friendly staff at front desk and in the breakfast room. Easy parking and easy connection to Princeton and highway 1.
