We loved the heated outdoor pool. We were pleasantly surprised that it was swim able in the early summer in Maine, great temperature.
Loved we could park outside our door.
It was very quiet. The rooms were constructed well!
The view of the river was gorgeous!
The location is incredible!!
Loved their website with all the info on the town.
Coming away the biggest thought in our minds were how friendly the staff were! The rooms were so clean. You can tell they really cared about the property and the enjoyment of the guests.
We love Ogunquit. The restaurants, the beautiful flowers in season, the beach vibe and beautiful views of the sea. Not to mention the great lobster dinners. Only Maine lobster ist truly the best. Fun for families and anyone who loves a beach vacation. If u stay right in town you can walk to the restaurants. Parking in the summer is a challenge.

Ogunquit is either a tourist trap cleverly disguised as a town or vice versa. I grew up near there and still haven't figured it out after 60 years. The Marginal Way is a very scenic walk. We often drive up from Central Massachusetts with the sole purpose of strolling it and sitting on the rocks. Seldom stay the night. Hannaford's up the road in Wells is a good place to shop for food if you prefer to not blow all your dough in restaurants. Still over-priced for a grocery store, though, but has decent selections. In the summer, the traffic is ridiculous in the center of town. There is a 6-way intersection where there should be either a traffic circle, a police officer, traffic lights - or even all three. It backs up for a mile or more in either direction and parking can be limited, so be aware if you are a new visitor.

This town is my most favorite place to go.
This town is my most favorite place to go. It is best just off season to avoid the crowds. Beautiful beach and Perkins Cove is quaint. Lots of quality restaurants. Shopping outlets are just a few miles down the road. The local play house also has quality performances.
It's all about location, location location. We were close enough to the town village of Ogunquit without the noise or bustle, and close enough to ALL of the beautiful sights around that area of Maine. ( the beach, shopping, restaurants,Marginal Way, Perkins Cove etc.
The hotel grounds were stunning, as the back yard has a great relaxing vibe overlooking the River, and the little waterfall. Just gorgeous.
The staff was also very friendly, and ready and willing to listen to the concern I raised regarding the mildew smell of the room.
The outside of the building is Art Deco in style and very pretty. Nice lounge sitting area for everyone to enjoy, there is a pool and outside area but it was Autumn so we do not use this area. The town of Ogunquit is very pretty and lovely to walk around. Gorgeous coffee shop/bakery in the town about 600yards walk. Beautiful beach amazing sunrise in the morning. There are several interesting stores and some eatery's. Our bedroom was spacious and clean, nicely decorated.
The Inn was great, nice room & facilities, price was excellent, staff was excellent & the location was great - a lot of things we did were walkable & in walking distance. The continental breakfast was excellent also. There were lots of things to do and see there & there were lots of restaurants in the area - all the ones we went to were great - good food, great staff and lots of variety - but being in Ogunquit it's always about the seafood.
Location is excellent. Coffee in “foyer” area VERY FINE…room needed a few more strategically placed outlets for cell phones…IPad…hair dryer. The ability to have breakfast at the hotel is most appreciated…convenient..and “Raspberries”….though there were non on the menu….offers a fine array of options..prepared and served well…at a fair price. We anticipated a fine return stay…and were not disappointed.
We booked on spur of the moment and luckily ended up with a great room Fourth of July week. The fireworks on Ogunquit beach were the best we’ve ever seen. Cute hotel nice pool tennis area, comfortable nice size, big fridge the appliances are a little out dated but nothing too bad. We had the view of marsh/river area and it was beautiful.
comfortable accommodations along Highway 1; easy access to Ogunquit, Wells, Kittery, Sanford, and points beyond; breakfast options exceeded expectations; while we didn't use the, the opportunity to barbecue own food is a great option; quiet hotel; close proximity to Footbridge Beach in Ogunquit; easy access to local restaurants.
We decided to try The Grand Hotel after reading all the excellent reviews. In no way was this disappointing. We loved everything about the hotel…the comfort of the bed and couch. The interior space, the multiple common areas available to sit and relax.
The location is why we like this hotel. You walk 15 minutes and you are at the beach. The room is very clean but no frills. Even if it’s on the main road, you are not disturbed by the noise.
The staff and the owner are very friendly and always helpful.
My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The outside area was attractive and our group enjoyed sitting around the pool chatting and relaxing. The hotel location was nice too - not too far from downtown Ogunquit and the Ogunquit Playhouse.
Excellent breakfast and very accommodating staff. Lovely location and room as well. We were pleasantly surprised since we expected a very run of the mill motel. We would return when we have time to enjoy the lovely location on the water.
The location to the heart of Ogunquit is their biggest plus. The early check-in was nice and appreciated. The shower was good and the first towel supplied was thick and absorbent. The replacement on the 3rd day not so much!
The resort is so clean and inviting. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The indoor and outdoor pools are very clean and are open much later than other hotels/motels.
The location is outstanding, so centrally located for staying in Ogunquit. But the hotel’s charm and friendly staff would have made it a great stay regardless of location.
Our suite was spacious and very clean. Staff is courteous and responsive to requests. This motel is a good value for money. It is a 15 min walk from downtown Ogunquit.
