This is a great location if you have things to do at and around Yale. It's a short, pleasant walk to campus and you pass shops, restaurants, and landmarks on the way; but you're also convenient to downtown if you want to explore New Haven a bit. My room had a gorgeous view and huge windows, as well as a small transom-type window that opened; I love it when hotels have windows that you can open for fresh air. The room also had a big desk as well as a comfy chair to sit and read.
This New Haven hotel is within walking distance of Yale University and the Shubert Theater. This hotel offers breakfast and snack items at The Market and guest rooms with free WiFi.

There are great museums, restaurants and other sites to see in New Haven, Modern and Zuppardi's are my favorite pizza places. I would avoid the "famous" spots in Wooster area -- the founders are gone and the kids don't know how to make pizza. However, I would not stay in the city. Ugly traffic and construction and you would have to park in a off street facility. Better to stay outside in the many suburbs and also less expensive. Pictures below are from Cafe Fiore in Branford -- great food.

Can't say enough wonderful things about New Haven.
Can't say enough wonderful things about New Haven. A lovely town to enjoy for a long weekend. Simply walking the campus at Yale can soothe your soul. Great eateries and shops, fun historical landmarks, special cultural treats from museums to architecture.
You MUST go to Louis Lunch, home of the first hamburger. Milkcraft makes icecream in front of your eyes with liquid nitrogen. Several bookstore/coffeeshop options.
The Group W Bench will appeal to your inner hippie. Plenty of museums to enjoy.
Don't forget to ask for a room with a view of campus when you stay at The Study.

We came to area for daughter college graduation, had her car parked in parking lot under a street light and it was stolen. Apparently the hotel camera didn’t cover the parking lot !!!!! We understand it isn’t the hotel’s fault someone would steal a car from their parking lot, but security is not a top priority at this location!!

Trip from Hell:
Trip from Hell:
My flight was cancelled (United Airline) very poor service and worst customer service I have ever encountered. had to finally book another airline. So, I send a message to inform the hotel that I would only be arriving a day late. When I finally arrived the reception clerk informed me that my booking had been cancelled and he couldn't find it in the system. he told me to step aside very rudely. His senior finally came to help him. And miraculously they both found my book. I then presented my credit card which was declined. And he informed me loudly that it had been declined, I gave him another card it was declined again. My daughter (leaves in the USA) gave him her card, gain it was declined. So, I called my bank in South Africa. Who quickly informed me to tell the clerk to stop tapping Rand 35 000. Due to fraud, you can only tap Rands only 250. Note not fraud in South Africa but global!!! The clerk informed me that all the cards he is used to in the USA accepted Tapping!!! i told him the world has changed not everyone/VISITERS come from America. The world is now global!!!!
The valet service was very accommodating and after a l-o-n-g car trip by our family with 3 cars caravanning, they made unloading gear, a young baby and securing our bicycles easy. The front desk -- especially Jose Dias -- was super helpful in addressing a noise issue above our 5th floor room. The room size, bath toiletries, bed comfort, etc were all great and reminded us of some European hotels we enjoy. We are looking forward to returning to The Blake in New Haven -- and trying our sister properties as travel opens back up.
Like a luxury hotel without all the red tape. Beatifully furnished rooms with great accents and finishes, a great view from our room, and no hassle to check in/out - loved having a code to obtain (and return) our room key to a lock box. Never dealt with a human employee the entire time I was there and it made this one of the easiest and most pleasurable stays I’ve had in New Haven.
Diego at the front desk was wonderful! He was very helpful and pleasant. The bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious. It's definitely not a luxury hotel, but it did the job. We were able to leave our car at no charge when we flew out of Tweed for 4 days, which saved us $120 in parking fees.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The check-in process was smooth and hosts were really responsive. Kitchen was well-stocked and the place was exceptionally clean with very comfortable beds. The location is great with close to all key spots in New Haven. We will definitely return in future.
Medecor hotel, trying to be something it's not. Staff didn't want to talk or help, bathroom and bed were good. Key card never worked for the lift or room entry had to get it rescanned everytime I wanted to go anywhere. With all that said I had a good stay, comfy room, safe.
We had a fantastic stay at The Graduate New Haven. The room was impeccably clean, quiet, and imbued with charm and Yale history. The lobby/library was cleverly appointed with books, art and memorabilia, and the cafe served excellent coffee in the AM.
The location is close to the highway, and a 30 minute walk or 6 minute drive from New Haven downtown. Breakfast was included and fine. Nothing to write home about, but good enough for a filling meal.
The deluxe queen room was huge for a hotel room.
Everything is amazing.
The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, It was a beautiful room, the service at the bar was really good and the food was delicious. Overall I had an amazing stay and I would definitely use this hotel again.
The room and bathroom were clean. A bit of a strange smell in the hallway. Room was on backside away from traffic. Fine for overnight travel. A little too expensive for hotel but might have been the city norm.
The surrounding area safe, the room is very clean and very beautiful. We feel safe and happy to stay here. 😊 especially the owner/host is very friendly and responsive. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❣️
No Breakfast. Location very nice near Wooster Square but New Haven street pattern and traffic is challenging
Italian District walking distance-- several landmark restaurants there.
The Study was a nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. The large window and desk made for a pleasant workspace, and the noon check-out gave me plenty of time to work in the morning.
Suites are designed for long stay - with full kitchen, lounge area and plenty of storage. Well equipped and very comfortable. Breakfast included in room rate.
