This place is not worth the money by a huge margin.
This place is not worth the money by a huge margin. It’s pretty bad. No Wi-Fi working, no heating that worked, no phone system that worked, soft beds, no bed side table, no bed side reading lamps, shoddy bathroom. I would not recommend it and will definitely not come back.

This is really the only area to stay in at Denali.
This is really the only area to stay in at Denali. The only other area is Healy, which is 10 miles up the road & where the locals live. Don’t know the hotel situation there; but there is a major grocery store in Healy. In McKinley Park, there are several hotels, all serviced by hotel shuttles to/from the train & into the park. These are very handy! Check their schedules though, as several DON’T pick up between 3:15-5pm from the park-they are dealing with train passengers! The “town” is very touristy; however, there are some beautiful shops there. Any activities such as rafting, ATVs, bikes have their offices here. It’s a fun spot to browse. The grocery stores are mostly grab & go and liquor. Just think through food a bit, unless you’re on a tour or staying at the Princess or Holland America hotels. Those complexes have much more. All in a a lot of fun to be had at Denali! Incredible hiking!

Absolutely beautiful! Nice property, but be willing to walk.
Absolutely beautiful! Nice property, but be willing to walk. Each building is spread out across the property. They do have a shuttle if you want to wait.
Staff is amazingly helpful and very friendly. Food is mediocre. Front desk staff is very helpful with planning activities.

The park is actually called Denali Park and it is absolutely stunning. The views, wildlife and plants are totally worth it. If staying at a hotel, 3 days and 2 nights with the family was a good amount of time.

Expansive resort with frequent shuttles.
Expansive resort with frequent shuttles. Depending on your location in the resort, very spotty wifi, which could be a concern if wifi is a priority for you. Couldn't connect in room but really not an issue for us.
Great steakhouse restaurant off the main lobby.
Convenient location for excursion pick up and quick shuttle ride to train station.

The bus tour was great.
The bus tour was great. The driver stopped multiple times to get pictures of wildlife. She gave us a lot of information about the park and the wildlife that was there We enjoyed so much we plan to take a family vacation and do it again
the room was very cozy and the balcony faced the woods and a river, it was great sitting there, with some drinks, take away food and chat until late.
The hotel has no restaurant, no bar. A Thai food truck is in the parking lot though and has excellent food. about 5-8 min walk is another hotel where one can go for breakfast , drinks, dinner and with complementary bus service to the park. Very convenient
The creek , the view , the benches on the creek where you can sit and enjoy the beauty of this place, firepit where you can meet other travelers and share your experience, the restaurant with the best food in Alaska.
It is short drive to Denali park, room is clean and spacious.
Everything. It was nice and clean and had a nice coffee shop in the morning and a nice restaurant at night. The hotel had a very convenient shuttle that drives you to the town and airport. Melissa, the driver, was supper nice as well.
Room was decorated in a mountain feel style. Some views of the hills through the trees. Convenient as both the Wilderness tour and Park to Park bus picked us up from the hotel.
Location was spectacular! The train ride from Wasilla to Grand Denali Park on the Alaska railroad was beautiful. Make sure you upgrade to the dome car which includes meals.
I like the bed not too soft, prefer firm bed.
The location is short walk to get food and drink, the hotel free shuttle will always happy to stop letting us to hop on.
rooms not cleaned daily. rude bar staff. unable to dine because “system was doe”. asked for bath gel - the hotel doesn’t have any. 2* accommodation for a 5* cost.
Hotel is close to Denali for easy daily access. Pizza restaurant close by for dining. Microwave provided. Set in the forest as part of a group of 10 cabins.
Friendly. Not a 5star hotel but that is not what you look for in a place like this one. It was fun. Good people friendly staff. Pizza at panorama was good.
