Milo helped us when we got out of our taxi and was exceptionally nice. Our housekeeper was very nice as was security who helped with a safe problem. Checking out was a breeze. The bar was fun with great food, drinks and personnel! All in all a very fine visit! All personnel were exceptionally nice during our entire visit.

Exploring Los Angeles, the place where movies are made, you feel like you’re in a dream. Santa Monica Pier is the end point of the fabled Route 66, while just south is bohemian Venice Beach, lined by tall, swaying palms. Go slightly inland from the boardwalk to catch a glimpse of the canals that earned the area its name.
Head north to the golden beach and stunning scenery of Malibu and see why movie stars over the decades have settled here. Also popular with the rich and famous are Bel Air and Beverly Hills, home to exclusive Rodeo Drive.
And the reason for all this glitz and glamour? Hollywood, of course! Sitting high on a hill, the iconic sign is visible for miles around, while below the gold stars on Hollywood Boulevard immortalize celebrities of past and present. Be there on premiere night to see them grace the red carpet of Grauman’s Chinese Theater.
Over the hill is Universal Studios, with behind-the-scenes tours as well as rides. Next door are the Warner Brothers Studios, and Paramount Studios are closer to Downtown LA.
Whether you decide to live like a star in a luxury LA hotel or choose a cheap motel through Booking.com, it’s worth renting a car to get around this sprawling city and out to Los Angeles Airport (LAX).

Our visit to Los Angles was great.
Our visit to Los Angles was great. We stayed in the Marina Del Rey area and were within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and attractions. What i like about the city the most is that there are endless things to do. What i didn't like about the area was the parking. The parking is very expensive and finding free parking to anything is impossible. Also, while traveling through out the city, the traffic is horrible, no matter the time of day. So if you plan to visit, plan accordingly.

We enjoyed it but crammed a lot into a few days.
We enjoyed it but crammed a lot into a few days. I Would recommend staying a week if you are trying to see/do a lot in your time here. Or planning to do tours or tapings of tv shows. As those take up a lot of your day.
I would recommend the WB studio tour plus if you are a fan of Friends or The Big Bang Theory. The Chinese Theater is neat with all the foot and hand prints of different stars.
Recommend Lake Hollywood Park for your Hollywood sign pictures. Also, taking the 45 minute drive to catch a sunset at the Santa Monica pier and of course your picture with the end of Route 66 sign are things you must do also!

LA has whatever you're looking for, from nature to culture to shopping. It's a magnet for people from around the world, which adds many interesting elements. You'll have to deal with a lot of traffic and high prices.

there were some highlights - amazing parks and Rodeo Drive was a great visit (not to shop mind you - bit out of my price range!!) but what a beautiful street.
I found LA to be rather bedraggled, dirty and worn.
1 day & night would have sufficed rather than 2 nights - our 2 night stay included a 5.5 hour driven tour of the high spots

Always give yourself an extra 30 minutes to drive anywhere in LA!
The traffic can be busy at any time of the day but specifically from around 3pm into the night. We loved hiring a car and having the flexibility of driving and travelling around, you can find parking easily and we tried lots of food places so was easier to eat in the car if they didn't have seats available.
Food was great, we tried all the fast foods but mostly loved in and out! Kevin Hart's new vegan restaurant in Hollywood was amazing too.
If you're in LA and have a car, I'd recommend trying Easy Street Burgers. Best burgers in LA! and Brothers Cousins for Mexican street food, absolutely amazing!!!!
We stayed near Hollywood, about a 10 minute drive away. This was great because it was quieter and safer. So I'd recommend this too.
Disneyland is in Anaheim so we moved from Hollywood to Anaheim for part of the trip just for Disneyland as it's quite a drive to and from, plus the traffic is so busy.
Universal Studios is a MUST. They also offer Vallet parking for $70usd from memory and this was absolutely worth it. Didn't have to find parking and walk far which was great at the end of the day when you're exhausted.
LOVED LOS ANGELES. We will ABSOLUTELY be back!! :D
After reading reviews you really would think this place was in a horrible area and that's far from the truth. You do have to pass by a lot..a lot of homeless people, it's Los Angeles downtown, not hollywood but once you get in the area of the hotel there a many blocks where they have kept it clean (literally power wash the side walks every morning) and are building it up. There's a convenient store right downstairs, many restaurants and shops walking distance. There's also a little shopping mall "Little Tokyo".
I've stayed at the Biltmore before and it's definitely old school grandeur, which makes it charming to me. I live in Los Angeles, but I booked this room to finish a screenplay. It was the perfect place to do so. It's in a great location downtown, close to all of my favorite DTLA restaurants. Most of the staff was extraordinary, especially the bell persons who would greet you upon arriving and leaving the hotel. The bartender was great too. A couple of front desk persons were a little short, but overall great.
A great little funky hotel in downtown LA! The room was clean, comfortable and had fun, quirky touches. Despite booking one of the cheaper 'mountain view' rooms, we found ourselves with glimpses of the Hollywood sign. The bar on the roof was awesome, with fantastic views and great cocktails (and the Boujee fries were delish!). The staff were without fail, friendly, professional and welcoming and the breakfast was one of the best we'd had in our five week stay in the US.
Staff was great. Very courteous and willing to guide in the city. Security in the hotel. We felt save in the area. Unfortunately everyplace in Los Angeles has homeless walking around (even beverly hills) because they seem to be approved to travel via bus and metro free... So... Having a safe place to rest was great. Bed was great.. A/C worked... All good. I would stay again definitely. Close to a metro station and the Hollywood main attraction walk of fame
The apartment was clean and spacious enough for our requirements, and a good base for the 5 minute walk to the beach, Santa Monica Pier, the ocean facing restaurants, and only a 10 minute further walk to the shopping areas and cheaper eating establishments for less formal dining. There's good Starbuck's 3 minute walk on the corner of Olympic and Main for breakfast bites and coffee. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating.
It’s good because it knows what it is. A fun and comfy near-airport hotel with decent access to coast. the service was really good and friendly. Would definitely recommend if you have business in this area or need to wait for a flight more than 12 hrs. The pool and the bar are fun and efficient. Reminiscent of The Line in Korea Town and its working affordable formula. The gym was also better than most 5 star hotels.
I always choose to stay at Hampton Inn for first night after long flight whenever I visit Los Angeles. It offers great value for money with its comfortable beds, cozy pillows, and cleanliness. The hotel's proximity to the airport is a major advantage, making it a convenient choice for travelers. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and hassle-free stay near the airport.
It was the best hotel of its category that I have ever stayed at!
The friendliness and efficiency of all the staff were outstanding!
Its location was excellent, and even if it was downtown, we felt safe. It is less than a mile from Union Station and less than two blocks from the Little Tokyo Metro Station.
Superb!
The hotel is conveniently located near the airport. It can be reached with their shuttle, which is free and easy to spot when it passes by the departure area of LAX. The room was very large and had all we needed: modern design and a large comfortable bed. Considering LA prices, it is fairly cheap.
Room size was small but not unique for a "boutique" hotel in downtown L.A. The best hat rack display anywhere. Didn't love the dinner menu so we skipped. The bar/restaurant seemed properly staffed (4-6) but we waited for quite a while to get two (2) drinks in the bar area after 7:30 PM.
Room was very clean and had a surprisingly comfortable bed. The location is outstanding, being a short walk from the Hollywood walk of fame and plenty of tour options nearby. There is a 10% discount at a nearby cafe for breakfast. The room was cheap for the area and felt secure.
The views from our room were fantastic. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The gym was bigger than other gyms I have been in at similar hotels. The hotel was in a great area of downtown LA, within walking distance to many places.
Perfect for a one night stay near LAX. It was cheaper than other options close to the airport and the room was comfy and the airport shuttle was great. Check-in was easy and there was good food around for dinner.
The Ace Hotel is perfectly located in Downtown Los Angeles, with a friendly staff, great restaurants, and a small but lovely rooftop pool. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are well appointed. Very lovely.
CitizenM is in a great location right in downtown, close to a bunch of great restaurants and a lively area. The hotel was also super clean, and the breakfast and fitness center were great amenities.
There weren't other cheaper options around the time I booked the hotel. I booked tommie hollywood without hesitation. Great location. Very close to hollywood walk of fame and universal studio.
The location of the hotel is very close to the attractions in Downtown, LA. The room size is good. There are lots of cheap parking places around so you don't have to pay for the vale.
