I enjoy colonial american history and the Inn is very historic. The staff was very attentive to our needs and the breakfasts were very good. The cottage building that we stayed in was very quaint and could use a little updating. It appears the rooms in the main house might be a little more comfortable but ours did provide nice privacy. There were two rooms in the cottage and they were really quiet. The walls were thick and you could not even hear the farm animals that were on the neighboring property when you closed the door. The air conditioner worked well so it was comfortable. I would definitely stay again and recommend it for anyone traveling to see Montpelier or Monticello. There is a direct tie to both properties through Peter Jefferson and Joshua Fry (the original owner).
