The location provides walking access to Main street, Half Moon Bay. It is a 30minute walk to the beach and that was OK for us. The Nantucket Suite was comfortable and met our needs. The secluded courtyard for guests and the daily availability of wine and other beverages (tea and coffee), was much appreciated. Meeting other guests from everywhere added to the experience. The town is sleepy on Monday and Tuesday. Most restaurants are closed but it comes to life later in the week. Reservations will be required at your favorite spot.

Location of the rental is excellent. Easy to get around HMB. We were fortunate to enjoy the Jazz festival. While on Main Street in HMB, we ate at Johnny's restaurant, a highly recommended breakfast/lunch establishment. We also shopped along the shops on Main Street. We enjoyed the quaint town and the friendliness of people. We can't think of anything negative about our vacation experience.

I liked everything about Half Moon Bay
I liked everything about Half Moon Bay
My stay at Half Moon Bay Lodge was very pleasant and I highly recommend it.
The only downside was my Lunch at the Ritz Carlton
totally mediocre food, a Glass of Wine not even half full, I do NOT recommend it 👎👎.
The Beaches are great, the Golf Course looks good
I did not play.

Half Moon Bay is a small community with loads of weekend visitors. Hence, nutty traffic on the weekends. Restaurant options were a mixed bag - found a great Italian place (Pasta Moon) and a horrible Indian place (India Beach).

Lovely hotel & location, but certain services and facilities are curtailed at different times of the year..,.eg the dining room was closed during our stay, as was the bar and the spa. This meant no breakfast was available, and all meals/drinks needed to be taken outside of the hotel.

We stayed in Half Moon Bay to stay out of the SF/Silicon Valley crazy but many of our activities were over on the east side of the peninsula. The seafood was fantastic (Sam's Chowder House) and the beaches and road side farms were as well.

Walked from Harbor Inn to the restaurants and moorings in the harbor across the street. Beautiful harbor, lots of walking opportunities, and a lot of choices to places to eat.
I ate at Barbara's Fish Trap right on the wharf. Fresh broiled sea bass was amazing and the service was great.
Lovely staff, clean, breakfast provided and a handy location near to Half Moon Bay shops/restaurants which are around 5/10 mins drive down the road. We actually came here very last minute having had a bad experience in a lodge in the Santa Cruz mountains and this was a very welcome change from that! We are just grateful they had space for us!
The description of “luxury” and the images used to describe this inn are greatly over exaggerated. This is basically a motel 6 on the beach. I would NEVER recommend this location and the was billed 4x what this place should have cost. Literally a junk motel, I’m appalled it cost $675 for 2 nights!
The location is wonderful. It's an easy walk down to excellent restaurants the harbor itself. Although it's along the highway, the double pane windows are great at limiting noise. And the view is fantastic. Will definitely stay here next time we come to half Moon Bay overnight.
Beautifully appointed, clean, and charming. Right on the ocean and near the Coastside trail for great walks. About a 4 mile walk to the downtown of Half Moon Bay, using the trail along the ocean. Good breakfast and wine and cheese in the evening!
This hotel is a place that you would want to go just to get away from the chaos in your everyday life the hotel is quiet the hotel is clean the staff is friendly I will definitely be visiting this hotel again if I can give it 20 Stars I would
I only stayed at this hotel for 1 night, but I found it to be a comfortable place to stay.
My flight to SFO was delayed so I arrived at this hotel about 2am, but even then there was someone on the front desk to welcome me and check me in.
Hotel provided wood for fireplace (for one fire, more wood available for purchase). Room was well equiped with mini kitchen.
They were able to upgrade us to an ocean view for a small charge. Staff was great. Excellent facilities.
Absolutely beautiful place offering so many amenities. The hosts were lovely and made us feel very welcome. We can highly recommend the Nantucket Whale Inn and it will definitely be our first choice when returning to Half Moon Bay
The room was comfortable and clean. It is next door to the Ritz Carlton, and we spent the day at the Ritz getting massages and having a meal. We were close by without having to pay a high price for the rooms at the Ritz.
We had a very warm welcome and the room was of very high quality for the price - two large comfortable beds and good facilities including a kettle which is so unusual in an American hotel - would definitely recomm
end!
Quaint beach front house hotel with great restaurant /bar just next door - no noise problem at all. Fire places in the room. Spacious and owner on site. Very sweet and accommodating. A lovely rustic stay
The boutique hotel has a lot of potential. The outside courtyard was well fitted out with chairs and tables. It was a sun trap. The rooms looked nice. The complimentary wine was a nice feature.
