There's lots to do in Erie,,I love the beach,it's great for little kids,, splash lagoon is nice for all ages,, however I think it's a little pricey,,,lots of shopping areas,,, winery's,,, beautiful scenery out by the lake,We drove into New York to the Indian reservation and bought cigs,,10$ a bag in which equals a carton,, hubby's snuff is 17$ in Pa it's almost 30,,, Gas was 3,15 a gallon...yep I filled up!!

We went in the deep of winter to experience the lake and do some hiking. Erie Bluffs State Park and Presque Isle State Park were really nice without people and bugs of summer. Everyone we met was very nice and welcoming. I loved the multi-ethnic vibes, food places, neighborhoods, and waterfront of Erie. I was invited to attend an Eastern Orthodox service at a cool little church on Sunday morning as I walked around some of the older neighborhoods. The people and the church were beautiful. The Maritime Museum and walking by the working ship yards was very cool.

We travel to Erie previously quite a few times there was our first time staying at this hotel had I had more time off work I would have liked to stay longer maybe not at this hotel itself. Me and my spouse took our kids to Splash Lagoon which was excellent very tiring we ate at Smokey Bones which was amazing everything was real close to the hotel which was good. I would just recommend that hotel stating that there's no microwaves in the room.

We loved Presque Isle.
We loved Presque Isle. We spent some time walking the trails. The layout of the city is good, so you can find your way around easily. The zoo was a disappointment. You can tell, they are working on it but it still is a sad situation.

We were lucky and had beautiful weather.
We were lucky and had beautiful weather. So we spent most of out time outside at the Presque Isle recreation areas, eating outside, etc. If we had not been so fortunate we would have visited the Maritime Museum and the Art Museum and other places of interest to us. There are also so many great eateries, and in a 4-day visit like ours we could only sample a few.

I love being on the beach at Sunset & taking pictures, watching the waves come in, being in the sand & sun. Applebee's had Great food and service, I had the steak mashed potatoes broccoli delicious 6 oz steak, my husband had a hamburger, it was delicious, grandson had mac and cheese and chicken tenders his was fine, son-in-law had shrimp, he loved it.
The employees were very nice, respectful and friendly. The gentleman who checked us in gave us an upgrade to a room with a hot tub as soon as we got there which was very nice, Although he was not aware of it this it was our anniversary and one of the first things we have been able to do without kids or grandkids we are raising that was with just us 2. There is so much that is so accessible from your hotel as well, I loved that we could do an unlimited amount of things and drive only 15 minutes away.
The service we received was above excellent. The front desk manager, Ramesh, took very good care of us. While this is an older property, you can tell they have been updating the rooms and facilities. We got a real, hot breakfast with a wide choice of food. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Erie. There was plenty of parking in the garage, so it was an easy trip by elevator up to our room without being exposed to the elements. We won't stay anywhere else in Erie from now on.
this property should have a lot credit, is all brand new super clean, 5.5 miles to the beach 1 , staff SUPER NICE helpful, pet friendly, have a yard to the dogs, Landry machine 4th floor ice machine in the 1th floor microwave, fridge in the room , walk to the bars 15 minutes, just crossing road have a cool bar that was our last stop all night. I’m Brazilian who lived in Germany Spain and visited 19 countries I tell you this place should have a lot more credit.
The bed was very comfortable, nice pillows, room was clean, housekeeping was excellent, no perfume smell which there was in the last couple of hotels we have stayed in. All staff were friendly There was a nice hot breakfast in the mornings and coffee made at all times.!! We will be back for sure!! It's the best we have stayed in for a while and very good value.
Love that this hotel lived up to its proud certified claim. As a transfem who still looks like a guy right now, life is tough. The one staff member who needed to use my pronouns, actually gendered me correctly. That was the first time anyone has gendered my correctly, that's by far the best part of my month.
The room was clean and simply furnished. It was in a pretty location and all of the employees from reception to cleaning crew were friendly, helpful and professional. It was cleaner, nicer, and cheaperwith better ratings than the surrounding hotels. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you🍃🌸🍃
Breakfast was great. Plenty of choices for all. Staff was super friendly and helpful in finding/planning activities.
Hotel was being remodeled but you would never know. The workers and work area was always clean and tidy.
We are definitely going to stay here again when we visit Erie.
Hotel is under renovation, sections are restricted access and full of construction debris. Elevator didnt work half the time, no luggage carts, spartan rooms.
Shame on La Quinta not showing this hotel as ynder renovation. Simply terrible…avoid at all costs!
my complaints and issues will be made clear to the owners...very bad experience staff rude, manager ignorant and unprofessional...accusations made and unfounded and not evident...hotel robbed me of funds
Pet friendly, clean, comfortable, and had helpful staff. I left too early to make sure of the breakfast and bar, but those seem like a nice amenity for a longer stay. Overall great experience.
Hotel was very clean. Staff very friendly. Following COVID precautions which was greatly appreciated. Very quiet which was nice. Great proximity for the Erie Zoo.
