Cambridge is a great place for sightseeing and history.
Cambridge is a great place for sightseeing and history. My son graduated from Harvard University and the city has rich spots for viewing in conjunction with the university. The Coop has all of the Harvard gear and gifts to take back to family, as well as the Harvard Store. We ate at Tatte, a nice breakfast and coffee restaurant. Uber is easy as well as short walks around the squares. Cambridge is a beautiful city and I can't wait to visit again.

Stayed in Cambridge to attend a graduation at Boston University. We were just close enough for it to be a very short drive, but did not have to immediately deal with school traffic. There were many stores and restaurants nearby, with good access to major roads to simplify travel.

Cambridge is beautiful, a fascinating place, but we were running around for several work events and didn't see much. VERY congested, so we relied on Lyfts to get around. But, so much to see, packed with beautiful historic architecture. Lots of trendy food places (often a little strange).

Cambridge is an easy, safe and picturesque place to walk around. The streets are clean, the parks are beautifully maintained and there is stunning historic architecture, as well as quaint shops and eateries everywhere. We particularly enjoyed seeing the beautiful Memorial Hall. It's a pity visitors can't look inside, into the Annenberg Hall dining area, but we appreciate that the Harvard students may not like an audience whilst eating : ). The Harvard University of Natural History is fantastic and the Glass Flowers exhibit is a must-see! Being a rower, I enjoyed seeing the beautiful Weld Boathouse and Newell Boathouse and watching crews row up and down the Charles River. If you love books, The COOP bookstore is well worth a visit and if you enjoy ice-cream, I would highly recommend getting a Taiyaki (Japanese ice-cream) from Taiyaki NYC in Church Street. The ramen at Boston Ramen at 24 Holyoke Street was delicious and I would highly recommend grabbing a waffle and coffee from the food truck parked in the Harvard Science Center Plaza. If you're going into Boston, I would highly recommend the Boston Tea Party Ships and museum experience (an excellent interactive, re enactment experience), having a ride on the beautiful Greenway Carousel and walking through the Boston Common, seeing the 'Make way for ducks' statue and, for the 'Cheers' tv series fans, visiting the Cheers bar.

Comfy room, clean and modern with friendly staff.
Comfy room, clean and modern with friendly staff. Booked in advance, was quoted $186 tax included. But, at check-in I was notified that it cost $25 per day, per parking spot and a $75 fee that would be returned (5 to 7 days) after checkout. Plus they wanted $20 per person for breakfast. Total: $326 for 2 people for one night. Nice place, but won't spend that to stay there again.

It's in a good location for Cambridge, and even not far from Boston amenities. It is NOT right near Harvard campus, though, if that's what you're looking for ... but not far.
The facility is fine - an inn, not a hotel, but with room amenities of a hotel.
Cambridge House Inn is a pleasant little hotel at an affordable price. The room was a good size, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. There were shops near by to buy breakfast and other meals and facilities to both keep food cold and be able to warm it up in the microwave oven. Furthermore, the hotel is located only five minutes walk from the Davies square train station. The surroundings seemed very safe. Finally wi-fi worked well.
The room was fantastic. The decor throughout the whole hotel is beautiful, tasteful, interesting.
Seeing a signed picture of John F. Kennedy made me very aware of the connection to the past that can be found in the area, together with the sense of vital youth that pervades Cambridge,
I also loved all the reminders that the building used to be a fire station from the "Do Not Disturb" signs to the coasters in the room
I loved this hotel especially because of its location so near Harvard University, and the bounteous coffee machine choices in the lobby. The staff was very kind and even helped me switch rooms at one point because of a phone issue, and they were always very friendly. They also provided me with some refrigerator space for some leftovers that I had from one night of dining. Great place to spend a couple of nights.
The outdoor patio was amazing. It was very modern with a beautiful garden and a small fire pit. It was fun to eat outside during breakfast and to have a drink with my husband in the patio after an all day excursion to Boston and Cambridge. I have been to a lot of hotels but I have never seen an outside patio as nice as Freepoints. Very nice staff and nice rooms added to a nice stay.
Perfect location for visiting Harvard. Beautiful area located in Cambridge. Short walk from the T line, which is perfect for getting around to other areas or even into Boston itself. Loved that the building was authentic to a New England experience. Rooms were basic and small. Would definitely stay again. Good value for money.
The staff was very helpful, and the location was perfect for us. Our double room was super comfortable and spotless - also very charmingly decorated. The whole hotel is well set up with good options for meeting others, food and just taking a break in the lobby areas.
A very good place. Clean, pleasant, and quiet. A great convenience is the all-day access to coffee and tea, as well as cookies. The breakfasts are very tasty and varied. Very close to the center of Cambridge. About 20 minutes by subway to downtown Boston.
Well designed room, amazing looking bar, excellent shower pressure with great toiletries and a super comfy bed! It was also a 2 minute walk to the T (public transport) station, making it very convenient to get into Boston and Cambridge.
Excellent in every way. Professional and friendly service. Good rooms. Love the firehouse history. Breakfast was the best "American buffet breakfast" I have had outside of a 5 star hotel. Best bacon I've had in usa
The hotel has an excellent location, near to the subway. Staff service was nice with us. Maybe I could recommend a better cleaning in the rooms, it was good but it could be better.
Freepoint Hotel Hilton Cambridge is a classy and stylish hotel close to numerous amenities that has friendly and helpful staff. Many thanks for a lovely stay at this hotel.
The hotel offered bicycles. Cambridge is very bike friendly. We were able to ride to Harvard Square very easily. Restaurants and other amenities were very close.
Great hotel, well connected via public transportation. Very friendly staff, great rooms and nice facilities. Overall a great option right outside Boston.
