Troy farmers market is a one of the best we've ever seen. Right on the Hudson.
I would have expected that the roads in Albany would have been in better condition since it's the state capital.
Lots of great architecture, Tulip festival was fun.Washington park is a beauty.
Capital diner is excellent, great food and staff. Plan on taking deserts to go
Downtown there are some wonky intersections. Don't be timid when driving

Attended basketball games at MVP Arena. .9 mile walk...downhill .4 miles, mostly flat the last half-mile. Walk back wasn't fun, and the uphill part isn't the nicest neighborhood. But I welcomed the exercise part.
If eating in, stick to simple to prepare meals. No stove. Hotplate, microwave, Toaster oven, coffee maker.
Lark Street and New Holland have lots of dining options and functional YMCA.
Washington Park has walking options, and when the weather is nice, I'm sure the tulips are, too.

My advice don't use this location.
My advice don't use this location. Dirty floors none of the amenities they said we would have. The heater wea extremely loud and only blew cool air even though we had the heat on. And the phone to call the front desk did not work.

The laminate floor inside the room was peeling up, tripping hazard, the tub/shower did not work, no water. On arrival and at checkout the staff was sitting in the lobby watching television. I had to wait for them to get assistance.

The room was unwelcoming.
The room was unwelcoming. Upon walking in the room immediately smelled of stale smoke and there was a possible blood stain on the window. There was also unidentifiable stains on the bed sheets. The door was not secure enough for sleeping overnight and you can hear through the walls and ceiling. Felt too unsafe and unclean.

The central down town is deteriorating with a large and unfortunate homeless population. This being said I felt safe as I walked though out the area.
Overall the downtown is clean and the architecture outstanding. Rockefeller plaza is outstanding , safe and clean at all hours. The NY museum and Albany institute of history and art are outstanding.
Restaurants in the center city are somewhat sparse though on the south west fringe they are good
we have been to 3 other hotels in the last two weeks, and this is by far the best one we’ve been at! They have amazing breakfast, and the pool is great! Big pool lots of fun for the whole family! It’s also pretty central, so there’s lots of stuff to do in the area. The staff is also very friendly, and helpful. The place has been clean the entire time, and any issues that occur, they take care of right away for us! So honestly no complaints on my side! Would 100% recommend staying here to anybody that wants to hear it!
Called for and was collected by their airport shuttle with friendly driver. Checked in - room was fantastic with lounge and kitchenette plus two bedrooms (one with two huge beds). And very lucky, it was a special “customer celebration” evening with complimentary evening meal provided and help yourself wine and beer. Helped make a great evening chatting with other guests in the lounge area. There was American guest who has used this hotel for year and was always very please with service.
I like that the property is low-key and in the cut very clean. The staff was very nice and friendly the room that was booked came with Breakfast and semi free parking it’s not a lot but what kinda threw me off was they had half the parking lot reserved for the hotel (people who booked a room ) and half the parking lot you pay for a Albany parking I am a solo traveler, so this hotel is great for solo travelers been for them made me feel very comfortable no extra people walking around
My check in experience was not acceptable. Due to a mix / up or miscommunication with the desk clerk I had 2 reservations. One online and one made thru the hotel directly,.which I didn't even know the rate. When the double booking was discovered I was told to cxl the online reservation..not knowing of the cxl policy. I'm stuck with the cxl fee. For what I'm paying I could've stayed at a MUCH NICER HOTEL
location super, beautiful walks to work at The Empire State Plaza and to excellent suppers at Lark Street restaurants through Washington Park, awash in gorgeous tulips for the Albany tulip festival
In addition, Starbucks in ground floor of hotel and free, secure convenient parking.
We had a huge room suite, with separate bedroom and three closets, decent bathroom, and full frig.
Hotel was in a handy location, downtown within walking distance of the arena (went to see Knighthawks/Firewolves lacrosse game). There were several restaurants within walking distance. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The free breakfast had several nice options (but out of juice). It was reasonably priced. I see no reason why I would not return of in the area again.
Set in the historic section of Albany New Yor,k, across from Washington Square Park. Beautiful area and beautiful architecture throughout the area, both inside the rooms and outside.
Good continental breakfast is offered on the main area of the Inn with indoor and outdoor seating in the back garden. It us a pleasant experience.
we stayed at the hotel in Middletown, so selected this one for an Albany trip. beds and pillows were great, but sleep sofa was a bit hard, not comfortable. the cleanliness was not bad, but not as good as the other one we stayed at previously. appreciated the fitness center , and the pool was warm and open until 11 pm. very quiet.
The location for my purposes (close to the Albany uptown campus and Starbucks). Staff and management were very helpful and kind. Adequate parking. For the price and convenience, keeping in mind it is rated as 2 star hotel, it was good. The issues that I did have, management did their best to redress.
The hotel was very nice, clean and well taken care of. The beds were comfortable. The room price was very reasonable, in fact the best on our trip through New Hampshire, Vermont and New York. The breakfast had a great variety and was hot. Great location.
It was convenient for me because it’s close to the airport. I arrived a little later than expected and my price was different when I checked in the hotel. The price was not worth it and I accidentally left a few of my items there.
Breakfast was excellent, actually much more than we expected. Hotel contacted us actively about any needs we might have. Free parking was plus. A nice kiosk was available at the hotel with coffee, snacks and accessories.
Came for a concert and the hotel was walking distance from the venue. the breakfast was included and had a large selection. there was also security guarded valet parking and it wasn't that expensive for one night.
Staff was pleasant and tried their best to remedy an unpleasant situation. It was conveniently located right off the highway. There is a restaurant open until 4:00am across the street from the hotel.
Nice, clean, quiet hotel. Room was a good size and well equipped. Bathroom was fine. It's a good, pleasant walk to the tourist sights. Handy, cheap parking in the neighbouring multi-storey.
Nothing. Terrible hotel, very dirty. When we came to the room, we had dirty linen, used towels. I never seen anything like that.
It,s total untrue what is looks on the picture
