Modest accommodation at very reasonable price. Good to stay overnight if you travel to Slovakia in the morning. Staff was very attentive and nice, they even provided us with lunch box instead of breakfast, cause we were leaving early in the morning.

Nice and and beautiful city in Transcarpatia just next to Slovakian border.
A little crowded due to many internal refugees but doesnt feel bad. You don't notice war. City has a lot of history an interesting castle and a lot of restaurants with local great wines and splendid regional food.

look poor.. most ofthe people are not speak English or Russian.. only Ukrainian.
to pass the border...the passport control is very problematic..take lot of time because the Hungarian side is..not helpful..
next to the hotel there is great local restaurant . very recommended.

A very interesting Ukrainian city, with a strong Hungarian heritage. The castle and attached outdoor walking museum are always interesting to visit. There's a small, but lovely historical city centre, and a great river walk. There's a number of nice parks. What I enjoy about Uzhorod, is that it is a very walkable city. It's not necessarily jam packed with museums, and other such tourist attractions, but it has a great atmosphere, and lots of good restaurants. I live in Ukraine, and have made Uzhorod my summer vacation spot. I highly recommend a visit.

The best part is the river-side walking path with lots of trees and benches. Downtown walking district is also nice with some cafes, and you also need to visit the local market with ladies from neighboring villages selling their own handmade products, vegetables, milk, etc.

Nice laid back city, with harmonious mix of city life and nature. Not so much Ukrainian atmosphere, since the Carpathian mountains separate Uzghorod from the rest of the country.
By the way, great Hungarian restaurant opposite the castle (only when the male chef is cooking) with quiet terrace during evening hours in summertime.
Travelling to the rest of the country is only possible via Lviv and Kyiv. This should be considered. If you like travelling by car; beautiful scenery. If you travel by train; it will take you many hours through beautiful landscape.
I booked this room for friends to get away, relax, and unwind. The service was 10 plus! Hotel manager Katalina and her staff exceeded any expectations and provided 5 star service and accommodations. Katalina in particular went above and beyond anything imaginable to make sure this weekend was comfortable and memorable for my friends. I can't imagine any hotel doing what she did happily. Rates are very affordable, and service is exceptional. I highly recommend a stay at the Eduard Hotel if you want to be treated like royalty.
Very charming place to stay. The rooms are big and comfortable, with classic design but modern facilities. Location is great - close to the city centre and the castle, on a quiet street. The hotel is located next to a really good Hungarian restaurant, with a good wine bar nearby too. The breakfast is also very good - you get a choice of 4 options (selected the day before), and the sweet option (syrnyky) is very delicious.
Location and view from the 5th floor to the Uzh river were the best features of this hotel. Very easy to walk across the bridge to get to the other side of the river. Easy to walk to stores and restaurants and the center of the city. Nice big window to open for fresh air! Reasonably priced laundry service that I used. Breakfast buffet was big.
The hotel is new, very modern and clean. This is a small hotel and creates a family-like atmosphere. Attached to the hotel are their own restaurant with tasty food and the shop, which is very handy for travelers. The hotel location is also strategically perfect, 5-min walk from the railway station and 3-min walk from the bus station.
The property is clean and well kept. despite being downtown and very close to the rail station and bus station, the noise was minimal.
The whole Ukraine has power outages, lack of heat and hot water. This hotel had hot water, heat, electricity and good WiFi.
Very stylish hotel, I loved the textures and colors. Limoncello restaurant was the best !
The sauna in the spa was too good, so I regret we could not use it in the morning as it opens only at 3pm - but luckily we could still have enough 😉
Absolutely perfect and funy design. New hotel. Nice and English speaking staff - it's quit unusual in Uzhhorod. Location is very good if you need to live near administrative center - Great Galago.
Very nice hotel near Ukraine/Slovakia border crossing. Best location to spend the night if you are driving to Europe. Restaurant there is also amazing, very much recommended
