Breakfast was mostly of local Taiwanese style eats and plenty to try, and it's basically the same every day. The location is next to the baseball stadium and you'll need own transporation such as scooter or car to get to, but very safe and quiet all around.

Loved the circle fountain in the center of the city and the side streets that offered so many different food options. Lovely view of the mountains and short drive from a great hiking area. The facilities at the Grand Earl were lovely - especially enjoyed the rooftop bar, the rooms, and breakfast. It's a lot more affordable than other cities in Taiwan.

Douliu is part of a tri city in Yunlin that includes Huwei and Donan. Some of the places are quite recently build and now there is a new baseball stadium. Good weekend trip there if you want to get away from the city.
