A truly nice, charming and relaxed town, with large historic significance and enough interesting sites to keep you busy. Also a great base for a daytrip to El Jem. In warmer months (end of April / early May are definitely not the good time) you can also enjoy the beach.

There is nice clubs in Mahdia. I can not say it is safe but did not encountered anything while we were outside, but we got lots of attention. Only problem is that when you land in main airport you need to take 3 hours taxi ride which costs around 80£ to get there.

People has no choice just to sit inside hotel
No clubs no disco no normal coffe-shops, no food testy and clean cooked .

One place Cornish for a walk smelling like canalization
The hotel staff was very welcoming and the room was well equipped. The ensuite shower room worked well. The breakfast was good. The hotel is located but just off the beach and my room had a direct view of the beach. However the room was quite. The room wifi worked well and provided an excellent connection. The staff went out of their way to welcome me and, it being Ramadan, provided me with a (free) dinner to enable me to partake of their breaking of the fast - which was a most generous gesture.
This apartment is just amazing. It's so big and bright. I have been there for one night, by myself, and I wouldn't change anything of it. One full apartment for myself, with everything I needed.
Location...stunning! Just in front of the sea, with lovely views.

The apartment is a hidden gem tucked away in the old town of Mahdia, with a fabulous roof terrace possessing almost 360 degrees sea views. The host could not have been more welcoming and assisting. The apartment is newly renovated and refurbished to the highest standards. Our stay was further enriched by the generosity of the neighbours. Truly this was one of the most wonderful stays to be experienced in Tunisia.
Modern property in a central location in Mahdia (short walk to the medina and very close to the beachfront). Fantastic host who was very flexible with check-in/out. A great breakfast and beverages were included. The property had a fully equipped kitchen and exceptional terrace with a pool, bbq and heater. Our stay was extremely comfortable and we would definitely return again!
The staff is excellent, and all seem to take pride in their work. at all. There were no extra blankets or pillows in the room. The food was very good. I really loved breakfast with all kinds of well-made choices. The traditional tea cafe is a great place to hang out and the entire hotel is really clean and comfortable to sit and relax.

Hotel is central to main downtown locations and visiting main areas in walking distance. A charming traditional house well decorated.

Dar Al Madina is a spectacular hotel, very beautiful and well maintained. In the heart of the medina, 10 minutes from the Ottoman fort. The staff is very friendly and super helpful. Breakfast is spectacular.
