close to the beaches in La Marsa or Sidi Bou Said, the ruins of Carthage, or to the city of Tunis (both about 20-30 min), yet quiet, peaceful area. depending where you´re coming from, traffic might need some getting used to, but it ends to the charm in the end :). we didn´t use public transport, there are plenty of taxis to go around, and the fares are decent. they more often than not don´t speak english (or have tech assistance) so have maps at ready. Great food- locally grown fruits and vegies, and delicious desserts. Would come again.
