I had lived in Bangkok for > 10 years, and chose Bangna due to it's easy connection to the airport, good facilities and transport links to the city centre.
This stay was at the end of a 3 week road trip covering 3000km. Next time I would plan to stay a few more days in Bangna.

Bangna area was disappointing. we chose to stay in Bangna to explor a part of BKK ive never been. But there is nothing in Bangna worth seeing. not an area for tourists.

Otherwise you need a cab to get anywhere.
Airport about 1/2 hour.
Shangri-La and Chao Praya about 40 minutes on expressway in quiet times.
No ugly tourist traps (you should know what I mean.)
We stayed here for one night as it’s close to the airport. The hotel is lovely. We ate two meals, once at the restaurant and ordered room service in the evening. Both meals were great.
Spent the afternoon at the pool and it was really nice. All the staff are so helpful and friendly.
Was perfect location for the airport. We contacted the airport prior to our flight and booked on to there airport shuttle service which is complimentary. The shuttle was great and on time.
This was my best my best choice for hotel experience in Bangkok. I tried few other hotels but the friendly approach by the host and the systematic facilities has made me think why didn't I try all of my days of visit in the same hotel.
Onlly thing is, that it is a little far from the city and the airport but that's mangeable.

All the staff, every single one i met was of the absolute best character. all so extremely helpful and friendly. This was by far the best accommodation we stayed in over our month road trip around Thailand.

The location was perfect for our stay, just a short walk from the sports grounds (Bangkok Patana School Sport Complex) where our group was playing in an international rugby tournament. The staff were all lovely and very helpful and accommodating of any requests. We would stay here again.

After a delay at check-in, we were shown to our upgraded, clean, and spacious room., by friendly, helpful staff. Enjoyable time spent in the hotel, with great. Bar staff, decent food at reasonable prices. All in all, a good stay.
The condo is very well taken care of, it is very convenient as you can go through the skywalk to the BTS within 2 minutes.
It takes you on the green line, convenient to go to erawan museum, or any bangkok centric location
