The owner and the staff were amazing, and the attention and care were on point . Love the location, quiet but with easy access to El Tunco and the beach. Staff could not have been friendlier. Breakfast was really nice, and so convenient to be able to eat well before getting started on the day. Internet access worked perfectly - no issues there. Rooms are comfortable - ideally, I'd have liked an alternative to the bed for sitting comfortably, but that's minor. Hammocks and outside tables in each room is really nice. Nice to have filtered water easily available to refill water bottles and carafes.

I stood at La Guitarra in El Tunco and walked to El Sunzal.
I stood at La Guitarra in El Tunco and walked to El Sunzal. It was a great walk because you get to see all the surfers. It wasn't a long walk but long enough to see the other hotels while walking the beach. Sunzal has many beautiful hotels and are close to Surf CIty.

El Sunzal is great if you surf.
El Sunzal is great if you surf. Sunset and sunrise are amazing. It is touristy so prices are a little higher. Bleachers are sandy in some spots but very rocky in others, so depending on where you stay access to beach is variable. We stayed at Casa de mar. Nice resort, staff is super accommodating.
