Very nice, the location is perfect, right in the main square, with everything you need close by.
The staff was amazing, the room was generous and with everything you need.
Oh and the beds...Oh my God the beds. I have a back issue and I 've been in 5 star hotels that could not accommodate my issue. But these mattresses and pillows were exceptional.
We did not stay long so not much more to say.

I loved everything about this hotel, starting from the pleasant surprise of receiving a room upgrade, up to the room itself, which was large, clean, comfortable, and truly pleasant for our city break. There was a complimentary bottle of water, which was much appreciated - it is a small gesture which is sometimes forgotten at other hotels.
The people from the front desk were kind and attentive and made all efforts to sort out any situation.
I found the hotel to be indeed 4-star worthy. The breakfast was also varied and delicious, and the restaurant was fine as well - we enjoyed the dinner on the hotel terrace overlooking the city and the river.
This hotel is great for exploring the city - it is close to the old town, to the river promenade and also close to a large shopping mall across the river - for whoever is into holiday shopping 😊
It also has underground parking, which was great for us traveling by motorcycle.

The city is clean with very good public transport infrastructure. Very pleasant trips to the surrounding area. Some prices higher than they would be considered to be appropriate, but that could be the result of the top holiday season wisit. Worth to visit.

Nice town, historic buildings. Local ice cream is excellent next to the old bridge. Main square is nice, lot of pubs, few restaurants. Drava river is beautiful! Need a bike to discover the town, as public transport is rare. There is a bike rental service (mbajk), good bikes for cheap price. Traffic is not high, but there were several young speedsters who squealed tires, it was not a safe feeling for pedestrians. I missed EN/DE translations on tables of services, you need google translate to understand even how to part the car or rent a bike. All in all, nice town, worth to spend there a long weekend.

The city is great!
The city is great! Small but has everything, very clean, friendly people, great places! In 4 months I visited it 3 times and I have already booked the next trip to Maribor. There is definitely something to see in each of the seasons!

I was not very impressed by Maribor.
I was not very impressed by Maribor. I had stopover here for one night during business trip. The historic center of the city is small, you can walk through it within an hour. Other parts of the city have typical socialist architecture from the time of Yugoslavia, which alternates with modern buildings. There are not many monuments or landmarks here. I definitely recommend visiting Ljubljana more if you choose cities in Slovenia to visit.

I like the city a lot - it was my second stay on the way to Slovenia and Croatia. City is very nice, clean and green. there are historical buildings, great bridge. we visited VINAG winery - in the center, with the dungeons below one of the squares.

Maribor is nearly a good place to visit, but not quite.
Maribor is nearly a good place to visit, but not quite. The limited history is not looked after and presented well, for example the Pyramid hill has the remnants of a 12th century castle on top but it is completely overgrown with weeds and is not accessible. The grapevines on the pyramid hill are all dead and overgrown with weeds so its an unsightly walk to the top. The old town is nice but small and the side streets have been tagged heavily. Its not their fault, they were bombed heavily in the war so much of it has been lost. One day is plenty to have a look around Maribor on your way to somewhere else...
Hotel Maribor & Garden Rooms boasts a prime location right in the heart of the pedestrian area, ensuring guests are steps away from the best the city has to offer. The breakfast offerings are varied and delicious, making mornings a delightful experience. And for those driving in, the convenient parking provided is a cherry on top!
The hotel is located right in the centre (on pedestrian zone), but you can get there also by car if you follow the instructions sent by the hotel. We wanted to stay only 1 night but still see the city, and it was very convenient. The monuments and restaurants are only few steps away. The room was spaceful and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent! It was better than in some hotels with more stars. It is worth having it even when it is not very cheap.

The atmosphere of the whole place is very friendly and cosy. The owner, Katja is very kind and helpful, and.speaks English very well.
The rooms are spacious, modern and perfectly clean. The beds are just as comfortable as they are at home.

The location is pretty great, only about 10 min walk from city center, and near is Lidl and bakery and everthing you need for a shor trip. Also has huge free parking if needed.

We wre with our kids and two dogs. This is a very nice, clean place with an excellent staff. The breakfast is good, the rooms were nice and quiet. The city center is 5 minutes by car. they have a huge parking space around the lot.
