My wife and I have stayed here many times in the past under the previous owners. Due to covid and illness, this was our first occasion under the new ownership. Everything as expected, friendly, helpful staff, clean room, good breakfast and freedom to come and go as we pleased during the day. BBC channel on TV enabled the general election drama to be watched as it happened!

The staff were really nice, the breakfast area was cozy and it had a good variety of edibles and drinks. The hotels were close to everything.
It is difficulty to review Degerfors as a holiday...
It is difficulty to review Degerfors as a holiday destination because I look upon the town as my Swedish home. I came here on an international student exchange to work at the steelworks 60 years ago. I arrived as a stranger and left feeling like a member of the community, such was my welcome both at work and by the friendly folk of Degerfors. Since then, I have returned regularly, sometimes alone and often with members of my family. On this visit my wife and I celebrated our 57th wedding anniversary.
Visitors do need to be aware that bus travel is the only regular public transport during the day. Extensive rail works at Karlstad have limited the train service to one morning and evening service to Stocholm and Karlstad with rail replacement buses during the day and all weekend.
