We have visited the town and the Rarău ski resort on Easter (use maps.me app to see trails on the region). The lift cabins were working from 10 am to 4pm every day. We take a taxi (50 lei, the number from a visit card is 0757122876, there is no Bolt taxi, but a lot of local) from guesthouse to the cabins to be lifted on up (35 lei ticket per each adult which included both up and down). Then it was 1.5 hours of trekking during forest to the Rarău massif, then climbing to the view point (there is chains, my mom could do this without special preparation). Bears were not met, but a some people were.
Almost everywhere you could pay by card.
In Câmpulung Moldovenesc we like the Bucovina restaurant.
We've stayed in Casa Burduhos I would recommend it honestly: clean, comfort, spacious. Before we have tried another one near a Penny supermarket and that accommodation that was cheap and bad.

Very nice location to use as a base to travel to the nearby...
Very nice location to use as a base to travel to the nearby tourist attractions (Voronet, Gura Humorului, Marginea, Moldovita, Sucevita, Putna). We had lunch at Steak One which is a little bit expensive but has good food. The local "Wood Art Museum" (Muzeul "Arta Lemnului") worth a visit. If you visit Voronet monastery don't miss the nearby Gura Humorului monastery.

I recently stayed at Comoara Rarăului in Câmpulung Moldovenesc and I had an amazing time. The property is located in a beautiful area, close to lots of great attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The facilities were great too with free Wifi, free parking and tea/coffee makers in all the rooms. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay in a stunning location.
The house is located in a quiet part of the town, with a good view of the mountains. The yard was well-tended, perfect for kids to play or for adults to relax. The rooms were clean and well-furnished, with two bedrooms and a spacious bathroom upstairs, plus the kitchen downstairs. There were personal touches everywhere, and staying here really felt like being a guest in someone's family, not just sleeping in an impersonal hotel room.
Excellent, beautiful and super clean accommodation. Very delicious breakfast. The owner is very attentive to details, friendly and ready to solve any incovenience. Large parking, hotel at walking distance from the city centre. We will definitely return here if in the area. Mulțumim!
The Location was ok because it was near the Rarau Ski Resort and other attractions on Campulung Moldovenesc.
The breakfast was nice and delicious. They kept the room nice and clean. And changed the towels regularly. The pool with salted water and the dry sauna was super nice.
Modern and clean apartment located in center of Campulung Moldovenesc. Really nice host. I think the apartment was recently restored and it was done with good taste. Free coffee, candies and those kind of nice touches.
The young lady from the reception was really friendly and helpful with us. She understood our complaints about having bugs in the room and help us got a refund for the second night in order to leave the hotel.
